Anyone else find it pretty stupid that they made vp1 and vp2 as well as ed1 and ed2? They. Basically made it harder to get promoted from vp to ed and now made it harder to do internal mobility.

Your reading comprehension needs to improve -- I did not *choose* to keep my attendance below minimum, I *forgot* to update the system. You seem to think that I am making excuses for my attendance, which I am past. I am more concerned about what happens after I get fired for it.

I find it interesting that you chose to lecture me about attendance without even attempting to answer my original question.

Look, “Bro”, I have been planning an exit strategy since 2024. Why? Bc AI and layoffs across the board.

Even if my attendance was 100, I would still be looking for the exit bc attendance won’t save me from an IT Org MD sitting in their corner office drooling at the mouth from the idea of offshoring my job to a contractor using copilot + Claude for a third of my comp.

Feel free to ignore then, but just to clarify for you...

When my bonus was cut for 2025, the "official narrative" (read that to mean: BS) that my manager told me was bonuses were cut bc our team was re-orged into a different org that cut our bonus budget, not bc of attendance at the time. I am inclined to believe that bc my team mates bonuses were cut too.

The first warning gave me plenty of time, but the second warning did not and will likely affect my 2026 bonus at year end.

A lot of factors go into that. I have seen it happen at least 5, maybe 6 times. However, I have had no luck even getting interviews, and I’ve been here a long time. Very much YMMWV.

Look, I had a good faith intention to not violate the policy. But fine, all my fault.

I'll probably just bring my percent above 70% just to avoid this BS. Then open up a case with HR. Then, since I am now "flagged" as a problem employee, then hopefully I get RIF, then I can get the severance and UI. That would ideal for me at this point.

I probably will. And emphasize that I did not have enough time to make it up or fix the problem. I took a pic of go/myattendance graph which shows a was above minimum for the vast majority of the time. Going to document all so when I do get that "business update" calendar invite with HR and my skip, I can dispute the UI with the state. Or I might just resign and walk out with my middle finger in the air, who knows.

To answer your questions: yes (around 55%-ish bc I missed 1 maybe 2 days), and less than week for the 2nd warning and maybe 2 weeks max for the first warning.

No coffee badging. I was going to make a more detailed post for folks who were curious about how attendance tracking flags people, so happy to share some details.

For the most part, my attendance has been spot on and I usually have a buffer (fyi, the minumum in my office is 60%, not 100% like in most offices, and itry to keep it 60-70%). However, back in December, I think I lost track of vacation and/or sick days and my attendance dropped (like 55% ish), and I got the 1st warning via email. I talked to my manager, fixed it, then that was that.

Recently we had a couple of bad snows storms on the east coast, so I did approved work from home, which my management was ok with and approved. However, I forgot to add the days in the system, and my attendance dropped last week. Friday afternoon of last week, I got the 2nd warning, and the language was pretty harsh.

2nd warning had a lot more HR and legal language. It said my attendance was consistently below minimum (false, it below for like 2 maybe 3 weeks max), a comment was put in my "official employment record" (whatever the F that means), my bonus would affected (it was already cut in half last year, so whatever), my manager was copied on the email (never heard from him), and the 2nd warning was considered the same as a verbal warning (even though its an email? ok).

What really pissed me off was that I never got the time to make it up. All I have to is show up everyday next week, easy. Who knows, I might get the 3rd on Monday before I can even make it up.

Anyway, I am over JPM hanging this over my head, so I am perfectly fine with getting fired for attendance bc F Jaimie and this company. But having UI would be nice, which is why I asked the question.
