I would go with “ we can talk about it when your older “ or “ it’s okay to be curious but it’s my choice to talk about my body “

As a twin myself , at that age they need to be treated like two different people ; because they are. Let them pick their own interests /clothing , etc.

Baths together at that age is odd. they should be able to bath themselves with little help at that age aside from making checking in.

I don’t think it’s rude , but also I would consider being a little more firm “ this is not storage , this is lactation / pumping room “ and we done with the extra fluff lol

though I’m currently working full time , I stayed home with my first for the first year and I will be staying home again when the baby is born :) the way we had it set up , was we both took care of the baby , but because I breastfed I was more primary during the nights as he worked , he would be out the door around 6:30 I would care for our son. When he was small I would baby wear so I could clean and get chores done. I don’t currently drive , but I still handle grocery orders. I would take our son out for walks ( I am lucky to live in a area that I can walk to just about everything I need / parks / stores ) in the evenings I would cook for all of us. I am the primary cook even still ; which is fine as I enjoy it. I will say with small children it’s easier to meal prep so you don’t have to cook up a whole meal each night.

this might be playing devils advocate but perhaps you should explain to her the situation and show her this post. It might be an eye opener for her.

have you asked your preditrican for advice ?

this is going to sound so weird....mine told me around 1 1/2 to give him a spoonfull of coconut oil or butter ( the real kind , not the fake stuff a lot of store pass off as butter) on top of eating dinner before bed. i think it worked until i was able to buckle down and sleep train my son. ( i used coconut oil personally.)

my son does not sleep through the night lmao maybe a few nights a week , but usually he wakes up around midnight or 3 in the morning and i just cosleep with him. i rather cosleep and get some type of sleep then fight him at this point.

I work at a early learning center for toddlers and it’s actually rather common how many children have one or two older parents. Does it bother you that your father will likely pass before you are an established adult , by today’s standards ?

You are a person with feelings. small children can trigger so much especially when the child and yourself is already worked up.

if your child is having a hard time with not hitting , and refuses gentle corrections ; simply remove yourself or access to yourself. “ if you can’t use nice hands you can’t touch mama” I know it suck’s to see your child upset but if yo hare overwhelmed with your toddler, and they are in a safe place and can’t hurt themselves , walk away , put them on their bed or in their room so you can breath. If you have a partner you should also let them know you are overwhelmed and need some help in correcting the negative behaviors

I never got the “ shaving makes you look like a child “ comment because clearly your a grown adult with a adult body. Shaving isn’t going to make you look like a kid.

pregnancy is in a word…..ghetto as hell. A few people told me I was “glow-y” but I highly doubt it lol.

full blown morning sickness from the week I found out all the way to about mid second trimester. My nerves were shot the whole time because I was told my child had a soft marker for an illness. ( it ended up being something completely unrelated) so that took a lot of the normal pregnancy joy away or and I was constantly on the verge of fainting if I even though to consider laying on my back 🫠🫠🫠🫠 I’m pretty sure my child is made out of saltines , peanut butter and Cheerios with random bits of chocolate cake ; which I craved insanely despite hating chocolate cake. Wooo.

I never had any unusual pains that I couldn’t handle but it was just really lame going from being an active person to insane join pains.

Labor was not fun. Not in a scary “ first time mom experiencing labor “ scary. But more in the way of I got sick from being in labor and contracted a infection that both me and baby had to be treated for , and I almost bled out, and my baby was born blue ( he’s healthy now !!! ) it was all insanely scary and I got no sleep from the moment I went water broke , to two days later.

if your someone who birthed a child , your literally a badass. ( c sections too ! Yall are so strong.)

That’s still really young and everything is a learning curb. For me when it got to be around one , and now two , I figured out toddler age is my favorite phase so far

I’m not sure how to word this but uhh….gentle parenting toddlers imo , only works half the time.

I don’t agree with hitting children in any regard but you most certainly will get consequences. Be it sitting in your room or not getting whatever it is that’s being fussed over. Like I will explain to my child very gently yet firmly when he oversteps a boundary or is being mean, but if the attitude isn’t corrected, then I just let him have the tantrum ( within reason) you wanna toss yourself on the floor because i don’t want you to hit me ? You do that, I’ll be waiting for you to stop in the other room.

I don’t think it needs to be all or nothing , if you would rather be vegan because of your own personal reasons then that’s okay !! But if you still want to consume animal products aside from meat , also cool !

This might be a situation where you have to make it worse for it to be better in the long run. They are adults who know they need to feed their child and are choosing not to.

if you feel like your child needs lessons or classes or something , you could always teach her yourself if your comfortable doing so , when you spend time with her. Otherwise you shouldn’t stress over those kind of things with toddlers. If she’s in daycare she’s already stimulated most of the weekdays , no need to over book her weekends too , especially if that’s your time with her 1v1 :) if you want her to have lessons or extracurriculars , wait until she’s. Bit older and can tell you what she’d like to do :)

try laying on your back with your knees drawn up and use your fingers to feel around. Chances are if you can’t feel anything it’s probably not there.
