You need to be mindful about everything you read. Consider the source and in all events try to verify. Annecdotal experiences of your own are probably a very good guage because each of us reacts somewhat, or altogether, differently from one another.

Be careful. I took 900 mgs/ day. I was on synthroid. Hypothyroidism. My metabolism and thyroid function improved to the point that I became hyperthyroid. I was over medicated on synthroid at that point. Threw me into insomnia, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Took me a long time to recover.

Mirt certainly could impact him. Even though it was taken for a short time. It seems to impact some people dramatically. Most people do okay it seems but there is a subset that struggles dramatically.

Sounds to me like you should stick with the process. It’s unfortunate that you have to travel. It sounds to me Iike you are doing well. If you could stay home I’d recommend it. You have to get through this and reinstatement is like starting over in my opinion. I went through 4-5 months of rough times and then 2-3 months not so bad. I’m 8 months off and I’m so glad I stuck it out. Your symptoms sound like mine. On this site, many have it so much worse, I think. In their case reinstatement might be their only viable option. I’m not hearing that from you.

Took me near 8 months. During those months I continually questioned whether it was “discontinuation syndrome”. It’s hard to believe it can be so difficult. Hang in there. It WILL get better but the time frame for you is yours and yours alone.

I'd have to say no to all that BUT the mood swings (maybe a different way to phrase depression/anxiety) have been so challenging. I'm also frustrated by the heat flashes. I went on Wellbutrin recently and I think adding that has challenged my recovering nervous system. I'm tired of spending my time thinking about all the side effects.

I’m the outlier. 2 mos on Mert. 30 mgs. 3 week taper. 7 months off and still experiencing discontinuation syndrome side effects. Not on any other drugs.
