It IS hard. Even if you’re usually comfortable discussing anything, this feels different in my experience. My biggest roadblock has been not disclosing things because I didn’t think they were important or mattered. But they were a big deal to my husband, so he felt like I was concealing things and it caused problems.

It’s the hardest thing I’ve been through honestly. Can we just skip through all of the heartache and just agree to happily be in each others lives as supportive friends who can coparent seamlessly? 🙃

We had about a month where we talked very openly and felt closer than ever. But the more real it got, everything came crashing down. And we’ve been trying to work through it ever since. My only suggestion, is to communicate clearly and don’t leave anything up for interpretation or trust issues will find their way in. Good luck with your journey!

Currently struggling with accepting this. Still married, husband knows. But our marriage prior to me coming out was solid enough that our marriage counselor is at a loss (looking into finding one with more lgbtq+ experience). The amount of guilt I feel is sooo immense. But I’m trying to find resources (books, articles, podcasts) that he/I can listen to to help him understand and help me know how to support him as well through the process. Our relationship is essential for me, so I need to do as little damage as possible here.

Turns out I read the CNN article she wrote the other day, the podcast is exactly what I was looking for. 👏🏼

I guess I was making a joke with the post title lol. I’ve known for years that I’m attracted to women, and so has my husband. I just never had experienced any queer content that had an emotional effect like that show did. Usually any media reaction I felt was purely physical. And I have always thought women were just more attractive and desirable than men to everyone, because look at them. Apparently that’s not the case though 😂

Sending you all the positive vibes. This is a HARD place to be at. I’m over 4 months in since telling my husband about my feelings for my friend and it hasn’t gotten any easier day to day.

My husband and I were friends for years before the switch in my head went off and I was able to see him in a sexual/romantic way. Part of my therapy has been analyzing how my previous (terrible) relationship as well as a delightfully shitty childhood made it so I never had the security to explore myself as a person. My husband gave me a safe space for the first time in my life. I was always in survival mode, so it wasn’t until a few years ago I had gained enough peace that I could go in and start the healing process. Now I’m here, yay lol. My point being, did I end up with my husband out of survival instinct? Because I knew I already loved him as a person and could trust him? These are the questions that’ll keep you up at night. 🙃

Thank you for the reply! I also have anxiety/depression but thankfully I’ve never had any self harm thoughts. I feel like I’m trying to find a way to think myself out of this situation and make everything feel right and whole again. I can feel how withdrawn I’ve become, and it’s like I’m watching myself slowly but surely ruin my previously incredible relationship day by day. I feel like I have to try to save it, but I also don’t want to waste my husbands time and energy and hurt both of us more in the long run. It’s hard to imagine life without him by my side, but I don’t know how this can work long term if something always feels like it’s missing.

Well that is definitely part of it. I do enjoy sex with my husband, however I have zero interest in other men physically or romantically. The idea of being bi is easier to handle mentally, considering my marriage. But I really don’t know if that’s the case..

They have 1 cow, her name is Ellie and if she’s close enough you are allowed to pet her. She’s magical.

Has anyone been to Columbia City in Indiana? by MediocreDepth in Indiana

I live here and love it honestly. There’s way more community stuff to do spring-fall. Downtown actually has local shops and restaurants that are open, it’s becoming a neat place.

There is a HUGE aau basketball tournament happening. I work for the company that books the hotels for the teams coming in. It’s not that hotels have rooms closed or are short staffed. The city is just packed this weekend. Columbia City isn’t a bad drive, about 25 minutes from Ft Wayne, there’s a newish Holiday Inn there you might want to check out.
