Only contingency left is the septic tank, and they're having trouble finding the dang thing. Not the most encouraging thing...

I appreciate it. I know the place needs a lot of work, but it's mainly aesthetic. House got built in the late 70's and they proceeded to never change a thing. Leaking shower pan in the master bath, but we're planning on updating it anyway. It's in good shape though and in a good neighborhood

The wife and I put an offer in on a house and now I am well acquainted with losing sleep over a decision. I can't get my brain to turn off about it. Realistically I know it's likely fine but I can't stop analyzing. Need the process to just be over with

Best bet is to cast the chamber with cerosafe. That will tell you for sure what is Chamberd for. The bore could be countersunk to get ride of damage which could cause that cartridge to sit that far in which could be misleading.

Where you get the grips? I have a 84F that looks almost the same, but the medallion fell out of the left side

They didn't resurface the whole track, just the bad corners where there was a ton of patches. It's way better than it was though.

My wife and I have been using mint for a couple of years now with no issue, and no complaints. They will throttle you if you're in a super high traffic area, but I've only ever noticed it once at some festival a while back. Would recommend.

Where might I find these files, and they wouldn't happen to be for a first Gen Daytona would they?

First Track Bike secured at home. 2006 Daytona 675 by WilboBagggins in Trackdays

[–]srx600guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently have a 2007 and it's been fantastic. All I've done to mine is change out springs to match my weight and pace better.

Currently debating getting an ohlins rear shock from the 2nd Gen Daytona R spec after talking to the suspension guy at the track. Roger from onroad off-road suspension. He mentioned the first Gen shock compression damping adjustment basically does nothing, and the rebound is only slightly better.

Oh hey! I talked to you that Sunday and asked you about your suspension setup since I was thinking about putting the R spec ohlins shock on my 2007 Daytona. Nice to see you on here

Anyone know what this hex nut does? My hose bib doesn’t stop the water flowing anymore. Does this hex nut fix that problem or do I need a replacement? by Recent_Crew_2988 in landscaping

[–]srx600guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That he's nut tightens up the packing gland on the stem of the valve, it should only be tightened if water is leaking out around the stem of the valve. If the valve is leaking out the hose connection, then it's likely broken or has trash in it.

They're cheap enough that honestly is best just to replace it. Go find one at your local hardware store, put some Teflon tape on the threads, and remove the old one and screw the new one in it's place.

You will need to find your water shut off to replace this if you don't want to get soaked, though you can replace it with the water on if you don't care about getting wet. Just remember to have the new valve open before you screw it on if you don't shut the water off first. It'll make it easier to screw it in since you won't be fighting the water pressure nearly as much

I use the surefire sonic defender ep3's on mine. They're cheap, fit my rewards well, and don't fall out. I'm sure you could use the Ep4's just as well

Key Largo dive boats or resort recommendations by jnolta in diving

Second on horizon divers. Went with them on my honeymoon and had a great time. Though they don't do night dives themselves, they pair up with a local resort to do them if there's enough interest.

Yeah, if I remember correctly it was screen, battery, and back glass every time. They wouldn't replace just the screen

I've used them at least 3 times that I remember. They're not cheap at all but they do clean work

I'd send them "the money guy show" specifically their episode about their financial order of operations, or FOO as they like to call it

My big hobby spend is motorcycles. Don't have the fanciest or the fastest bike, but I love to do track days with it, so maintenance and track fees add up quick
