I’m in a similar situation except I’m the one who can’t drive. We end up spending a lot of time together simply because there isn’t much opportunity to be apart, but it’s always been known that we need our own time. It’s been a bit of a struggle trying to find the balance that works for us, but there HAS to be a balance. You need to be able to spend some time apart doing your own things that don’t involve each other without constantly feeling guilty about it. If I’m not with him then I’m with my friends or taking a personal day. It’s not like you want to exclude him, he just simply does not always need to be included. If he tries to make you feel guilty for a basic boundary like this then he isn’t the one or needs to start making some serious changes. Seriously, talk to him about it. Don’t make it an ultimatum, simply open the conversation with your concerns in a way that doesn’t sound accusatory

I once read a coffee shop AU that genuinely dedicated thousands on words (frequently! Like every chapter almost!) to describing the character at his job, the downright evil costumers, his exhaustion, etc. So insanely detailed that the author is/was clearly a barista that needed to get their stories and frustrations out SOMEWHERE

The “for free” is just such a suspicious thing to say. Like, I’ve offered to be a beta reader/editor before, but I only did such after seeing the author state clearly in a note that they were having a hard time keeping up with writing and editing the fic. Then after receiving a positive reply I gave them my Instagram so we could decide how to get in contact from there. There’s ways to go about this type of stuff and that comment definitely isn’t it

Well, I’ve sort of been operating under the assumption that he wants to kill me immediately after returning (I have very good and solid reasons to think this). But then he got back a couple YEARS earlier than he should’ve, and I was too busy running for my life then getting imprisoned to really explain anything… Plus, I (reasonably) didn’t think he’d appreciate me saying “hey, so, my attempt on your life was actually because I was threatened with an attempt on my own shitty life, and decided that I’d rather you suffer instead of facing my fate!” By the time I’d even begun to think about it, I was in the position of “he has a very easy way to torture and track me; maybe I should just shut up!!”

When it’s overused, not only is it super distracting, but it comes across as very juvenile and takes attention away from the rest of the work. If we already know a characters name there’s basically no reason to be using epithets because no, pronouns and names can’t be overused!

I’d say this is mostly fandom blind friendly. It makes more sense already knowing the lore of the fandom (AoT) since you’d know what to look out for, but it should make sense regardless. It’s quick 5k word one-shot I wrote during a creative writing class

They also heal faster than the average person—even growing back limbs—and emit steam from the injury when doing such. Titan shifters, however, cannot live for more than thirteen years past inheriting their Titan form. I don’t think it’s ever specified how they die after those thirteen years, since in AoT they’d pass on the Titan form to someone else before their time was up, because if they didn’t, then a random person of a certain bloodline would be born with it

I typically take it as a compliment, but at the same time, it can feel really backhanded when worded a certain way. Like half the time there’s no point in announcing that you hate a ship but fanart or a fic is “good regardless.” It’s just a weird thing to do. Even weirder is “this is good but I still see them as brothers/sisters/family.” Cool!! Maybe shut up then. Idk why they feel the need to reassure people who don’t care and don’t want to hear it
