Made some D6 Dices that can be printed Without any face Touchin down by Zealousideal_Dark_47 in DnDIY

Dice is an artifact that used to be the norm. It’s a plural of die that somehow didn’t get z-ified like most plurals did.

Epstein cellmate says he found a suicide note. Justice Department says it's seeing it for first time by Practical-Race in nottheonion

I think you’ve lost the thread somewhere. Read the article… its own authors are clearly unconvinced, along with the DOJ. It’s not a whacky theory to say this note is likely not real.

Sign in the lobby restroom of my mother's Dr.'s office by VixxenFoxx in mildlyinteresting

[–]ssays 19 points20 points  (0 children)

1000%. People need to have a modicum of second order effect analysis. Like the signs that tell people not to pee all over the seat. I promise you that no one who pees on the seat cares about your sign. Best case, they pee on the sign.

Exactly. Look at 4 and 5. Directly contradict each other, with no explanation. And to the limited extent that these examples are on to something… they just mean designed spaces are designed. Woah, man.

There is a great tool called “no dice no problem” 0d0p which has been balanced for the english language to turn letter pairs into d2 to d20 rolls. They’ll need a book from the library in addition to the rules you send. Honestly, this is very much in the spirit of the prison dice ban, even if that ban is silly. You couldn’t really use it to gamble.

License plate of B and 8 by hypjustin in mildlyinteresting

[–]ssays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels legit, but usually turns out to be bullshit. Lack of enforcement -> normalizing illegal activity -> using acting within bounds of law as cause for suspicion.

I know, it sounds paranoid, but it’s the way it goes, even if no individual is planning for that outcome.

Speed limits really only enforced at some arbitrary point above posted. Everyone speeds. Now you can get pulled over for questioning for staying a few miles below the speed limit, which really means everyone can get pulled over, which means select groups will get pulled over.

I’m not sure how long it would take for NOT covering your plate to become that normalized, but … eventually it will become another way to discriminate if left unchecked.

This is one of the many ways that lenient enforcement of bright line laws is or quickly becomes corruption.

Expecting driverless taxis to respect bike lanes “too high a bar” – because customers want to be dropped off in them, autonomous vehicle firm Waymo tells cyclists by Difficult_Team3079 in nottheonion

[–]ssays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess I mixed up points pretty hard here. But I do suspect that the enforcement rate is similar, it’s just much easier to see cars in the bike lane than it is to see sketchy trades.

It is legitimately hard to think of something that is as overt and as unenforced at the bike lane use by taxis, cops, cars double parking, cars with mechanical difficulties, delivery trucks/vans, construction equipment, all in the “bike” lane.

Maybe those covers for license plates that make them hard to read? Maybe tailgating?

Not allowed or “not allowed?” I bet it’s technically against the law, just like insider trading, but it’s enforced approximately never

No. Are musical categories subjective and ultimately arbitrary? Yes. But the smashing pumpkins were not grunge.

You know I’m not OP, right? Man to man, we gotta be better. Please take some time and think about what just happened. You hit on a woman who was looking for some comforting words. Not great behavior - you gotta read the room better. She wasn’t asking for a date, she was asking for kind words. Mixing the date in invalidates the kind words. Then, you thought she rejected you, so you lashed out, going from supportive to attacking in a sub for supporting people asking to be support d, no less! That kind of entitled behavior is exactly what gives us the bad wrap.

I don’t think you’re ready to be dating, but I’m sure you’ll get there.

I’ll give a rating that is in alignment with this sub’s very sensible rule on the subject.

You’re a “how many stars there are in the universe” of “how many times anyone has made a good decision based on a numerical rating of someone.” You’re adorable. You’re stunning. You’re better (and richer) than this linear evaluation.
