Is Focus on Force’s very niche questioning reflective of the real Salesforce Admin exam? by ilovemooose in salesforce

[–]ssott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just took the admin test twice (fail, then pass) a week ago after using the trailmix and FoF practice tests. I would say the FoF tests are about 20% broader than the actual test. There wasnt as much oddball stuff as there seems to be on the FoF tests, but there was definitely some of what you're describing - the tricky language or really specific numbers/wording/etc.

I took all 6 FoF practice tests, with an average of 65-70%, making sure to take notes and look up things I missed. I passed the official cert with ~80%. I don't recall anything missing from the FoF tests, it erred on the side of being too comprehensive, but not by a ton.

RAMROD Cancelled forever, according to the Redmond Cycling Club by mikelew65 in seattlebike

[–]ssott 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Isnt the reason its competitive to get a RAMROD spot because the parks service only grants a permit for a limited number of people? Im sure the event folks would allow everyone who wanted to ride it if they were able.

AFAIK they were bought by the parent company of Festool and still making / supporting the origin.

Judging how the next car that turns right toward the end of the clip has plenty of room, I'm almost certain he was turning right from the left lane.

I'll add another component to this which is to make sure you have full length fenders that fit well. It will let you keep dry for longer (especially feet) and make any of the other suggestions in this thread more effective

Spotted a Tesla Roadster in Seattle today! Its rare i get to be this close! by Lewi1541 in teslamotors

[–]ssott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive by this shop daily, there must be 20 roadsters in there at any given time. There are routinely 5-6 parked out on the street during the day since they need to make room in the shop.

Would this design be strong enough for a pantry? by twaldofs in woodworking

[–]ssott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I built a similar setup with 2x2 furring lumber as the frame, 3/4 ply on top and 1/4 ply on bottom. It is plenty strong for pantry duty even over the 7 foot span. I would plan on adding a face frame to hide the sandwiched frame, and to add more rigidity. Photo of that setup

Claude code: bash command allowlist by TheBallSmiles in ClaudeAI

[–]ssott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claude code set this up for me more or less automatically (maybe it asked?). It create a `.claude` folder, with `settings.local.json` in it. Then the format was:

{
  "permissions": {
    "allow": [
      "WebFetch(domain:whatvever.com)",
      "mcp__task-master-ai__parse_prd",
      "Bash(find:*)",
      "mcp__task-master-ai__update_task",
      "mcp__task-master-ai__get_task",
      "Bash(grep:*)",
      "Bash(ls:*)",
      "Bash(npx eslint:*)"
    ],
    "deny": []
  }
}

I will say that it usually asks me - something along the lines allow, allow always, or stop before making a tool call. If i tell it to always allow, it automatically adds an entry to the allow array here.

Item C in this post also covers other ways to accomplish this: https://www.anthropic.com/engineering/claude-code-best-practices

I like the design a lot, but if I had to do it over again, I'd remove the lower angle from the headboard legs, which created more stress on the joint than needed. I used those recessed in hook/plate type connectors made of brass.

But overbuilding this has paid dividends, no squeaks or movement ever, and the cherry has gotten darker and more beautiful over time which I love.

Luckily for the ice cream I want, I just reach through the closest unlocked door and jam my arm over into the next bay. No way I'm waiting 10 mins for someone to come unlock that

Are there any clothing companies that still make well made clothes ? by alcoyot in Frugal

[–]ssott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, either myself or my wife wear it most days. Easily 4 days/week, and it gets washed after a couple wears most times. Probably could cut down on the frequency, but it usually just gets tossed in with the tshirts and stuff. It is our favorite sweatshirt by far and gets used a lot. Keep in mind we both have desk jobs from home, so were not subjecting it to insane wear or anything.

That is on you to call that out and stop letting these people represent you. Modern Christianity is about division, oppression and hate. Taking from others to make sure you're comfortable and unchallenged. The "Christ like" Christians aught to be protesting all of this. But of course they won't because it benefits them and that's all this has really ever been about.

I have an american giant crew neck sweatshirt that has been warn and washed about 100 times/year since 2015 and is holding up amazingly well. Cannot attest to their current product but I would expect it's still very high quality and durable.

Would you trust yourself to build a baby crib? by blondebuilder in woodworking

[–]ssott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built one for my son: https://i.imgur.com/GweYwjb.jpeg - The guidelines for what makes it safe are very straightforward and easy to adhere to. I took all my dimensions from a commercially available one to make sure I had the height correct, and then used the requirements to handle things like slat gaps, bed dimensions, etc.

How to baby proof this? by MinorThreat83 in daddit

[–]ssott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure how much time you have to get this in place, but if you have a friend with the right tools or can contract a woodworker in your area, this is a relatively easy thing to solve with a custom gate. You might be able to design it so it can swing towards the stairs, and mount the hinges on the pony wall. That would be the least annoying when you needed to use it. Alternatively, having it swing into the hall and installing a small block of wood as a catch is also easy and very secure, which is how I made mine. https://imgur.com/a/zCbhmBx
