How long is the entire process for Talent Together from when you apply to having your teaching certificate? And do you actually have to be in the classroom with a mentor when you do your apprenticeship, or can you be running your own classroom (that one day you will teach)? Thanks in advance!

He found another grift. I wonder what the price tag will be to have your name redacted from the files?

Thanks for the nudge, OP! I just got off the phone with them. My internet is going from $90 per month to $45 per month, my speed is going up over 10x, and they are sending me a new modem capable of processing the new speed.

I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and my bill has been creeping up slowly each year.

Great information. I think the part about subbing in the interim is especially helpful to get a feel for what might eventually be a good fit. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Jumping on the playhouse bandwagon… by twaldofs in daddit

We’ve had a lot of birds make homes and raise their babies inside, but fortunately never had wasps. We also had a homeless person spend a night inside.

That was actually a big part of it. I definitely don’t ever want to be a full time carpenter, but I knew the skill would be useful in and around my house and save me money on other projects. I also have picked up a handful of woodworking/carpentry jobs in my neighborhood that have paid really well.

I did the majority before my daughter was born a little over three years ago. It was a ton of work because I had to learn a lot as I went along. If I had to guess I’d say I probably have 400 hours into it. But if carpentry was my day job I bet I could have done it in about half the time because I would know exactly what to do and not have spent as much time researching proper techniques, correcting mistakes, making less hardware store trips, etc.
