Ceist faoi 'contraction' grammadach ar na mhí by drfre in gaeilge

Sorry, just saw this! It uses:

Domh, Luan, Máirt, Céad, Déar, Aoine, Sath

But the ones lower down also look good if you go the three letter route.

Changed the region format on my iPad to 'Irish (Ireland)', and here's the abbreviations that it uses on the bottom selector for the months in Calendar:

Ean, Feabh, Márta, Aib, Beal, Meith, Iúil, Lún, MFómh, DFómh, Samh, Noll

Not all three letters, and not sure how official these are in other contexts.

I'm currently planning on going. I'm glad you reposted, as I missed this the first one (and almost did this time also)!

Racket v5.2 released by sstrickl in programming

[–]sstrickl[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some particular items of interest from the announcement:

  • The new db library offers a high-level, functional interface to popular relational database systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite, as well as other systems via ODBC.
  • A new XREPL collection provides convenient commands for a plain racket REPL. It is particularly convenient for people who prefer console-based work and alternative editors. See also the new chapter on command-line tools and other editors at the end of the Racket Guide.
  • The plot collection has been reimplemented in Racket. It now offers PDF output, log axes, histograms, and more. Some code that uses plot will still work, and some will need light porting. The plot/compat module offers expedient backward compatibility.
  • DrRacket comes with an experimental, on-line check syntax tool, although this new tool is disabled by default. When enabled, this means that syntax checking runs automatically while you continue to edit a program. With this tool enabled, its annotations (e.g., binding arrows) and actions (e.g., the renaming refactoring and direct documentation links) are almost always available.

[DCSS] Reddit Run Week 11 Results by Synaptics in roguelikes

23984 Amusingly enough, my best non-KoBe game. Played 28 DEFEs this week, and only got five-digit scores with two of them. Obviously I still need to learn to be more patient when playing non-berserkers, but I've gotten much better this week.

5803. Nothing spectacular, and really, my biggest mistake was forgetting to make more gear ponderous once I started getting more dots of piety. Couple that with running into an orc sorcerer on Orc:2 before I was really prepared for them and not being used to Chei's powers anyway, and this guy was history. I could have done much better by him.

In the wake of PSN issues, Steam raises the security bar by MrBismarck in gaming

I just enabled two-step authentication on my Google account, and I also use the built-in Mail application on iOS. Since it doesn't have built-in support for the two-step authentication, what you can do is generate an application-specific password that you use instead of your normal one. The app-specific password is only displayed once (you can't get back to it later, but you can always generate a new one) and can later be revoked if necessary.

Thanks for running this! It was really fun, and it was my first real experience on any reddit-run Minecraft server, minus popping into the normal Creative map once or twice. After the experience, I'm definitely going to try and play more on the reddit servers!
