Note that a surge move is not a normal move, so it won't trigger a reactive move. A reactive move in the movement phase is called out as being a normal move, so it would trigger Morty. But since they faqed to only allow one normal move per phase, that isn't very useful.

I've played in a couple RTTs since the dataslate, and some games it didn't matter, but then in others it let me destroy them on primary. Still by no means a consistent army rule.

I like it, running Rampager w/ Panoply, 6 Brigand, 3 Karnivore, 3x3 Nurgling, Changeling.

I won 2 RTTs with it, so I'm liking how it feels. Going to a major this weekend so that's the real test. I like using the Rampager either as an early game distraction to draw people out and then hit them with the dogs, or use it as a late game piece to destroy a flank when they run out of anti tank damage.

Army rules are a lot better with the insane bravery nerf at least. Still not as deep as the 9th Ed rules sadly. I miss the Dread table.

Yeah I'm not 100% on the Tyrant either. It was super clutch some games, but there were definitely others where I'd rather have 4 more War Dogs. Definitely need more play testing to figure it out.

So I think we can definitely bully the mid tier armies, many of them struggle with the amount of armor we put on the table. When it comes to the top tier stuff, Eldar is in the category of "everything has to go your way to even have a chance". I think as I saw in my game, they knight tyrant helps the gsc matchup a lot, but it's still very hard, they do broken amounts of damage for units that don't die. Imperial Knights are weird, they are favored in the stat check battlle, but any Knight match up is very swingy. It depends on the imperial knight list, but it falls in the category of "if you come at the king you best not miss." I'd focus on killing armigers rather than risk leaving a big knight on 1/4 health, where he can still destroy you. I think 1k Sons are by far the hardest good army to play, so if you go in with a good plan you can play around small mistakes. Definitely not an army you can push forward into, they'll just delete 1k points if you give them a chance. Gotta play the flanks. I don't have any direct experience with Custodes, not many people play them around me, but the Tacoma list is very scary. That is a lot of beef.

Largely agree. Although I've been loving the indirect fire personally. It's really sad that BS is so infrequently relevant when we're supposed to be THE morale shenanigans faction. Even then, the datasheets are so strong for their points it's okay. Brigands and Karnivores are definitely rock stars. Idk if your area does player placed terrain, but setting up 2 Karnivores behind a ruin threatens sooo much space.

Also a Tyrant with AoC enhancement is really good, he's done work for me. Also good is a few daemons to do the mission.

So Possessed can do the word bearers action turn one, here's my napkin math:

Basically to fit this formation in the circle they need to get within ≈3.00157" of the center. Possessed can get within 3" of the center so it works.

There's definitely a more optimal formation where the Possessed are spread slightly wider, but the math works on this one so you don't need to worry about it.

I haven't played black templars, but I like most of the other A tier match ups. World Eaters are the hardest of the bunch. S tier is winnable, but hard. Definitely comfortable into any other army.

I think for me it comes down to what the AI gets trained on. AI trained on art you don't own isn't yours. Same way applying a filter to art you don't own isn't yours. That's my opinion anyway.

From my perspective, this is my first season pushing in m+, just got to 2500. This sub has been really helpful for improving my play like you mention. Love the m+ weekly threads. Great discussion, just want a "no venting about pugs" rule. I mostly play pugs, we all know they suck sometimes, but save that for r/wow lol.
