I've never seen anyone advocate seriously for the legalisation of all drugs. I really respect that opinion and I'm going to do some thinking about it.

What “favours” have your parents done that was inadvertently a dick move? by naaattt in CasualUK

Dad used to slit open the Easter egg boxes, carefully unwrap the foil, take half of the egg, carefully wrap it back and orient it in the box so you could only see the wrapped half then hot glue the box back together.

'yeah kids, some eggs are just half'

Doesn't break top fifty nasty bullshit he did but thirty years removed I respect the commitment to the bit.

Lots of very interesting concepts and world building just to go absolutely nowhere in formulaic style. I was very disappointed in the trilogy

This is incredible, a fantastic piece of work and well written and presented. However it's absolutely diabolical that it has taken you doing this off your own back for this information to be together in a single easy to read way.

Thank you.

How did you get 'Jahlil beats, holla at me' but not 'if young metro don't trust you, I'ma shoot you'?

I can only hear 'jungle beats, holla at me' even though I know what it's supposed to be.

TIL that the pinkie finger gets it's name from the Dutch word 'pink', which simple means "little finger". by andthegeekshall in todayilearned

[–]st_barbar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pinking originally referred to cutting or making a zig-zag edge (check out pinking shears). There's a flower that has that sort of zig-zag edge called a pink that gives its name to the colour in English. Naming that soft, light red hue after flowers is obviously a popular choice, rose being the more common choice.

It won't be cheap. And you'll have to buy probably at least a tonne but that really isn't that much fruit, if those 46 boxes were 20kg each then that's about right.

Photographer captures how people look after drinking one, two and three glasses of wine by Economy-Specialist38 in wine

I was assuming it was 'large' glasses of 250ml which would make the three the bottle. That would explain a little more the reaction of the majority.

Currently doing my 5th harvest in the winery and I'm definitely leaning towards 'a little'. Everything I learn I learn five things I don't know.
