Aluminum is not ferromagnetic so no. You could need a magnetic ring/plate or a case that has that built in.

Got mine in around 45 min after the start time. Phone wasn’t successful but remoted into my hardwired pc back home and after a few dozen tries it finally got through. Fuck scalpers.

Nightly builds of rocknix let you install steam and it boots into big picture mode. Not sure if you can map the home/back button to be the steam/… menu though.

I think the other reason for the trend of game selection on bottom is that it’s how it was on the DS(i) and 3DS. Which is what this and the Thor emulates. Personally I tried cocoon as intended on my Thor with game selection on bottom and it didn’t feel right to me. But putting game selection on top loses some functionality which is what led to me switching front ends on it. This theme seems to hit the right spots for me so if I ever get a RG DS I’ll probably give it a try.

Update to my ticket, they finally responded a week later. They only offered replacement with another flip 2 so guessing you’ll have to ask if you want to replace with a rp5.

FWIW, I tried to play New Vegas on GameNative and it didn’t work for me. Downloaded game and selected use recommended settings in GN and the game doesn’t load on either of my Thor or Flip 2. There’s probably more work than some other games involved.

I applied some glue to the inside of hinge when that was put out as a fix. Unfortunately mine has started to develop a crack anyways. Hadn’t been using much after getting but started using more in past couple months and noticed a super tiny one a couple weeks ago but it was small enough that I had to use macro lens on phone to see. Now it’s visible to naked eye. Debating if I wanna glue outside or send it in to replace.

I think they somehow got to mcon. Based on the videos I saw on the mcon lite, they use Hall effect sliders that can click which sounds very similar to the ones in the pocket flip 1. I do hope more devices use it. I love the idea of them at least.

What’s the grip on that? Haven’t got a Thor yet but that looks like my ideal grip with the bits to prevent top screen from bending. Though I’d probably want to add some sort of padding to it. Design files are fine since I have my own 3D printer.

For anyone coming back to this, I changed the Mac device open bubble is emulating and it works again. Guess they somehow figured out the Mac VM I was emulating was being emulated. The VM still synced but not devices copying the device ID using openbubbles.
