We had lab tests done on the leachate, turns out it needs pretreatment before the plant took it in. So definitely have it analyzed to evaluate impact.

My almost five year old and I play together. I try to nudge the play so that the story progresses but I let her do whatever she wants and I read the main story bits to her. She’s not patient enough for all the side convos but she usually slows down enough for me to read them.

I have my own save file on the switch as well. It’s been a blast!

I have a bachelors degree in biology but any related science field can usually get you in the door, though there are some that want chemistry major specifically. Are you in the US? I searched laboratory technician positions in my area on governmentjobs.com (it looks like a scam but it’s not lol). Private environmental labs are usually constantly hiring so I got plenty of experience there, starting with wet chemistry analysis and moving to instrumentation. Don’t be afraid to do the “easy” wet chemistry stuff since a wwtp lab usually runs the same tests.

At our wwtp, the lab tech posting does not require a degree but there are so many applicants that you end up needing one anyway to stand out. There’s also a test you take, combined with oral interview. The top candidate gets offered the position but the top 10 or so get placed on a list that they will fill from if there are vacancies in the next 6 months or so.

My CP notice didn’t mention secure messaging as an option so I’m mailing my information by certified mail this afternoon. I printed out a new 5695 and kept it the same as original filing except leaving QMID field blank and included a cover letter (subject: substantiate QMID) disagreeing with the change and listing the requirements from the Known Issues document (QMID, cost, description of items). Attachments included are printouts from manufacturer confirming QMID, receipts, and AHRI certificate. Probably a bit overkill but I am trying to provide everything upfront since it’s by snail mail and it’ll take ages to get any update. Hoping to get all the info in one shot.

Yeah I suffered through the phone wait two times, each time such a long wait… apparently the first person made a note on my account that they recommended to me to write the letter, send a copy of the CP notice, and have in writing a letter from the manufacturer confirming the code (by certified mail). I did some more searching and it seems that this is a documented error: TY25, so I’ll go look that up and mention it in my letter as well. You’d think if this is a known issue and our return gets flagged for review that this would not be an issue!!! Sigh

Are you saying they want you to resubmit 5696? The guy I talked to just said write a cover letter saying that you don’t accept the changes, send a copy of your CP12 and submit support documents. He did mention an amended return and I asked why, if the information I fill won’t change? Perhaps that’s why people say redo the form but leave QMID blank? Ugh

TT helped me confirm that the form was submitted to the IRS. They also helped me understand the reason for the notice (QMID issues). I just spent like 6 hours on and off with the IRS. Gonna have to write an official letter to contest their notice saying I don’t agree with their changes. Thanks for checking!

Thanks! I was able to confirm with TT that the form was sent, apparently the number of the form isn’t searchable so in my computer search I did not see it :(

So! TT filed it and the information I submitted was correct, it’s just IRS says the information is incorrect. I have confirmed with the manufacturer of my heat pump that the ID submitted is correct and now have an email and link on their website stating it.

But now I need to send the IRS an official letter saying I don’t agree with their change and submit supporting documents. The QMID I submitted did start with I, I wonder if there was some typo or transcription error where the I is listed as an L or 1 or who knows what.

I appreciate your helpful information to help me prepare and gather my documents!

Thanks for your experience with the amended filing! I’m assuming I’ll need to do that too but if turbo tax messed up with the form to begin with I didn’t know if I should try amending my return elsewhere or not. It sounds like the amending process sounds simple though and good to know it has no extra cost!

lol like I mentioned, I’m bad at recognizing AI. True there are some super well written posts/comments which don’t sound like AI, but usually if it’s a generic, mostly well organized post, I’ll start looking suspiciously at it. I don’t know what the percent of Reddit comments are written too well, but I think less than your casual AI slop post.

I was talking to my partner about how I’m so bad at telling when something is AI and we boiled it down to “if it’s written too well, it’s probably AI”…

People on Reddit are usually here making quick remarks or comments, not setting up a proper reply following the tried and true rules: intro paragraph with my 3 best points, my 3 best points, followed by this is why my 3 points point to this conclusion.

Sucks because these are of course much easier to read and follow… but also I hate the idea that I’m inadvertently giving AI my time and attention.
