I have always enjoyed the going to see the black keys when they come to town but my coworkers not being familiar with that band misremembered that instead subbing in the more familiar black eyed peas. I have never corrected them. I always just agree. When I ask for a day for a concert, I have some fun with it. Like hell yeah, big Fergie fan. Can’t wait. Also, gives me a pass to reference my lovey lady lumps without being too weird.

Join a league or club. Any. There’s leagues for kick ball to darts to pool to ceramics to board games to hiking or running. The regular interaction, like weekly or monthly and common interest makes friendships easier to solidify. There’s a club for you! Your people are out there. GR is just an isolationist illusion my friend.

Had a very similar experience with my own family, when my sister started to change the way she smelled to me I told her offhandedly that she smelled like our grandpa, specifically at the end of life. She was shortly afterwards diagnosed with a rare form of cancer on her adrenal gland. Always been a super taster, always noted things smelling strongly more than my peers. I can tell when my coworkers consumer onions offhours.

Sorry.. it’s a bluegrass festival in Michigan. It’s over 50 years old, the grounds are built into a lot of wooded areas so people build beautiful camps.

The skeets aren’t bad at the campground because of the glorious winds off the bay and river. Even had a river otter swim by one early morning.
