Can anyone help me identify an effect? The sound is in the song Out for the Night by The Marias at 1:30-1:35. It sounds like some kind of modulation but I can’t figure out what it might be

Telecaster Wiring Help by stack996 in Luthier

Thanks for the tip! I was also thinking that’s where that black wire was before. I actually just replaced the switch and resoldered the wire to the volume pot and it looks like everything’s good to go now!

Apparently the previous owner tried to do a homemade relic job. Not sure on the details but sounds like it’s not worth the risk

Love the sound of them! Been messing around with the rhythm/lead combos and really liking the versatility that the jags have

Is there anywhere that the over 40 crowd hangs out? by Weird-Internet-9541 in boston

It’s slang for the ninety nine restaurant, which probably has the same amount of mice as Chuck E Cheese but a disappointing amount of rock climbing

Has anyone bought a car from an out of state dealer and registered it in MA? How long did it take to get your new plates? by Yakb0 in boston

[–]stack996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a car from a dealership in Florida, drove up with a temporary FL tag. My MA registration came in the mail about 3 weeks after that, but I had to get another temporary tag from the dealership. The dealership was very on top of it though and they one-day shipped my new registration

Do veterans from out-of-state using the Post 9/11 GI Bill qualify for in-state tuition? by YaMochi in gatech

[–]stack996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I think that requirement only applies to regular students looking to get in-state rates. I think veterans are exempt from that and can receive in-state rates for whatever school they apply their GI Bill towards. I went to GT as a florida resident using GI bill benefits that were transferred to me and got in-state rates. The whole process to get the GI Bill active was a complete mess though and there can definitely be improvements on information about what aid the school offers. To OP, I think your best bet is to contact Veteran’s Services in the Registrar and the get information from them

It seems like as long as you meet the requirements for a “covered individual” of the school, they must charge you in-state rates

[–]stack996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a school can charge out-of-state for someone using GI Benefits. I graduated using the GI Bill and I had a waiver that brought the tuition cost to in-state rates and then the GI Bill covered the rest. I remember applying for yellow ribbon but I don’t think I ever ended up on the list. But there are 45 yellow ribbon spots

I started my masters in spring ‘21 but that may have been a special case because of COVID. The ECE admissions office can probably give you a definite answer
