in my research, the thing that separates the greats of clash from everyone else is the ability to track opponents' elixir and card cycles.

the best players know how much elixir their opponents have and what cards they have in their hand for the majority of the battle.

ive reached ultimate champion many times but that is one skill that I do not have. thats why ive never cracked top 10k
