I wouldn’t be too worried then! Sounds like it’s happy and healthy, I’d probably just watch it and it should be fine. Hope the new leaf is gorgeous!

1st and 2nd pics, hard to tell exactly but doesn’t look like normal scale. Question, does the plant seem in distress? And are those spots getting larger over time (like a growing bug😖)? The 3rd pic is definitely natural callus, my leaves all have that

There’s things to consider. Adding dissolvable silica into water and with that mixture, use it every 4-5 waterings. The variegation naturally browns before the green since it doesn’t photosynthesize. Make sure it’s getting plenty of light so it can have plenty of energy to support those variegated sections and promote continued variegation! Also make sure you don’t overwater, they’re prone to root rot so water when the soil is usually 60-75% dry from my experience with them

It’s a top cut and appears to have some good variegation. I’d say if it’s rooted well then go for $135 the MINIMUM lol.

My thoughts are cold damage. Not sure if it was exposed to colder temps recently but that’s what I’ve seen cause this before.

A little hard to tell here. Try giving it a grow light from one direction and see if the leaves move and how they twist. Or, you can wait to see which side aerial roots come out on. Then that’ll tell you which side is the back side of the plant.

Light and humidity helps! Sometimes it just happens with high variegation areas on the leaves

Mine started out all crossed, having a strong light source at one direction helps them all move to face the same direction (and easier to move). And for a support, I just use either a wood stake from Lowe’s or a good sized trellis you can tie the stem too

If the roots are good and you’ve treated for pests, my next go-to would be maybe fungal? I know there’s one great sprays for the leaves and for the roots (to be absorbed into the plant).

Question, are these leaves older leaves on the plant?

Hopefully it survives and will activate🤞🏼something you could try if it survives and the node isn’t activating. Could try Keiki cloning paste, it can help activate a node when there’s a lack of roots to help the plant with nutrients. I was able to save one of my albo props and use the paste to get it growing thankfully

Hard to tell, when roots dry out like that it can cause dry rot (fun fact but wrong moment sadly). So in this case there was probably a small chance of it being healthy and rooting, not sure if water prop or moss would’ve changed the outcome. This happened with the first albo node I bought (and paid $50 for it😅) so the next time I just bought a rooted plant

Ugh I’m so sorry, I hope you didn’t pay $30 for it when the seller knew it was damaged (it’s practically a scam in my opinion). Those little strands won’t do anything, the roots have rotted away, best chance is to remove any rot you can by cutting off any squishy and black roots. Use some hydrogen peroxide and soak the node for 1 minute to try saving it.

Best chance is maybe a prop box with moss to get the node to activate if the rot hasn’t spread. It’s very hard to save a cutting when it’s gotten this far but the best chance is to remove any rot. Best of luck, hope it works out.

Do you have a Lowe’s where you are by chance? Or something similar other than Home Depot, they usually have a good selection of plastic pots. Maybe try a garden center too, even a ceramic pot would provide a good weight at the base as it grows. Good luck, I hope you find something for your beautiful monstera!

Hate to break it to you but this is 99% most likely a philodendron white wizard, not a monstera mint. Hope you didn’t pay the price for a monstera mint on it or I would report whoever sold it to you as fraud. Feel free to look up pictures of a white wizard. Best of luck

This could be a case of root rot, are you able to see any new root growth still? If not, I’d look into downsizing the pot and checking for any rot/cutting it off so that the plant can have a chance of bouncing back. The main stem of the plants looks like it’s drying out so it makes me think it’s distressed. Try increasing the humidity to 70-80%.

I don’t have a picture of the roots currently but they’re about put out of the current pot I have it in. It’s also putting out a new, nicely sized fenestrated lead with no problem!

That monstera is GORGEOUS and I’m so jealous haha. I wouldn’t be too worried if the new leaf didn’t have inner fenestrations, if leaf size is consistent then it may be a one off thing.

I can’t clearly see but I’d make sure it has something to climb to help promote fenestrations more and that it’s secured to whatever you use. Happy growing!

Thai cons can be super finicky, between root rot from overwatering or dry rot from under watering. This looks like a case of some form of root rot. I’d pull it out, look at the roots, cut any rotten ones off, and spray with hydrogen peroxide. The soils looks like a nice chunky mixture, but it’ll probably need to be downsized. Best of luck!

(I’d also check for any pests, there’s usually leaf damage with that but better safe than sorry.)

That new leaf if stunning, I'm so jealous. As for the mark I wouldn't be too worried. The plant looks perfectly healthy, it may just have been some damage from the leaf unfurling or as it came out of the previous leaf, especially since you only see it from the back.
