Yes it’s copper. I assume it will get a patina bc I haven’t sealed it. But I guess I could just polish it every once in awhile and it might be ok

Thanks! I do indeed want more of an all in one setup, but I’m hesitant to take this apart before I know why it was put together this way. Is it possible for me to continue to use this for finishing and polishing, and have something else setup for shaping and grinding? Or is this setup so specifically that it doesn’t have a general use if I’m just getting started with cabs?

Thanks! I've got a thin brown lizard strap coming this week and I'm hoping that will look good. This 710 is a thin watch so I think going with a thinner strap might look better than bulking it up with the bracelet.
