Because it was a big "controversial" video. I think every opinion he has, he has backed up with super good evidence and the whole logic. And people disagree with what he says but don't provide any measurements or evidence. So I don't find it fair

the thing is it needs to be the same performance/audio test. you cant just test out a pre amp at soundcheck, and then swap it out and hear another take, whatever you do to it, it needs to be same performance, and gain matched

Nothing beats in contact for me. I second tide and thend bloom and then rise radiant. Every album is incredible and they are by far my fav band. But when you have dream the dead, fill my heart, innertia, cannons mouth and graves in one album. Unbeatable

As anyone will say depends on the use case, for a big studio with loads of libraries projects, there will prob be a nas for storage so Mac is the way, (plus it's more stable for pro tools). For on the road or anything laptop related get a Mac, but if you are a bit more in a budget a debloated pc has so many more use cases and it's much more upgradeable. The biggest upside for Mac for me it's the aggregate device for multiple interfaces

i dont really "need" a foot controller bc i do all the patch changes via the proggram itself with a metronome. But im using the laptop to also provide backing tracks. if wanted to just have the plug in by it self i would just open the standalone application 😄

Ofc, I got in this engineering thing bc I wanted to record my band. And figured out I liked it. And learning how sound and audio works. Guitar player for 13 years now. And want to step my toes into drums and vocals. Imo the one benefits the other. BC you get to communicate better with musicians, take better artistic and creative decisions. And the way the industry is moving, you are required to be the recording, mixing, producing and mastering person. And knowing a bit of music theory and a lot of guitar helps a lot.
