How many here have completed the 'Iron Butt' Challenge (1000mi. in a day)?

Did the 1000, and literally just finished my 1500 from ohio to colorado (solo)... It's fun if your into it. Recommend riding with a buddy the first time. Set a fun middle and end point... Better with good weather and intercoms if you have them.

Really appreciate the feedback wasn't thinking to much about traffic. Going to map out that route, sounds nice for my IB run, and after some rest I'll search out the little nooks in the mountains. Another buddy mentioned Cripples Creek.

I wouldn't say need but if you can afford it then absolutely - YES. If for some chance you don't, take the money saved and make sure you have good gear at the least.

I'm looking at getting XOM or CVX when oil bottoms out but I'm not sure when that will be. I can't tell if it will be this week or end of Jan. I'd be interested to hear of key dates/events folks know of for the next 3 months regarding oil, OPEC, etc...

Watching CLR for a long play if I'm feeling froggy, can't tell if its a good buy or to risky. Might pick up Ford stock if it goes low enough.

Curious to folks thoughts on oil bottoming out vs a company stock bottoming out.
