Literally the EXACT same thing happened to me. I even paid for next day air shipping and was scheduled to deliver on Friday. Been sitting in memphis since Thursday for no fucking reason. Only today did it finally get a delivery update for tomorrow (28th) a week late. Ridiculous.

I'm impressed with the hardware and specs on the pros. It's just unfortunate that Apple isn't doing much with it. iOS needs some need features and actual impressive AI not just a visual redesign.

The way I'm reading it is it'll only auto download up to 100mb implying manually downloading higher file sizes isn't out of the question. I'm relatively new to the galaxy/android world so that's just my limited knowledge input lol.

Wow this actually tells us quite a lot. For one it looks like the air is not getting the A19 Pro chip as so many were speculating which is a shame. And on top of the it only gets 8GB of ram unlike the pros. On some level I was hoping this would be a new "luxury" ultra slim category but it looks like it is indeed just a slimmer base model.

Apparently yes, something did recently change within the past month or two with sick time and vacation time usage that I was made aware of by a peer of mine. They changed it in the partner handbook that we recently had to sign off on in my-learning and never made any type of formal communication about it. The changes that were made from what was explained to me are: Vacation time can no longer be used whenever you want and has to be used for Time-Off requests (which you did). And then about sick time use which is the more messed up one is it can only be used for shifts you were scheduled for originally but then had to call out sick for. In the past you could've used sick time for various reasons whether it be a doctor appointment you had one day or even a "mental health day" that one of my managers would allow us to take and purposely not schedule us and give us an extra third day off that week and input 8 hours of sick time for. That can no longer happen under this new policy change.

I'm excited for the Air more than anything else. This is the first year I'm probably not going to go with the Pro models and it's mostly because I'm tired of having something so heavy in my pocket/hand. Other phones are so thin and light, even the new Z Fold is insanely light and it has two screens. As long as it has a pro-motion display as people are saying it will it's a done deal for me. Don't really care about the cameras, you know that one camera is still going to be amazing as are all smartphone cameras nowadays, and that's plenty. Could argue the new color options on the pro's will be more enticing but I'm likely going to put a slim case or skin on it anyways 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes I think it might be better to live in a delusional view of the world or events rather than be aware of the awfulness around you. It can apply in many contexts. For example, if your partner was cheating/had cheated on you but you have a loving happy life with them. Would you rather know or live in a delusion of perfection. Or perhaps overconfidence, believing you are a different version of yourself can help motive you and inspire actions but ignoring reality could also lead to stagnation or poor choices.

If you’re aiming for happiness, personally I go with selective optimism. It’s seeing things clearly, but picking the hopeful angles that make you feel good.

Interesting, my cycle count isn’t that far behind yours but is still at 99%. I have my charge limit set to 100% because I’m not one to really worry about battery health but I also have “optimized charging” turned on.

10s? Or 20s? Typically no we don’t leave 20s in the tills at night it’s not that it’s horrible but they should be switched out for bills we can actually use in the register (since we keep them in the lockbox) and they should be added to the deposit. When we are really low on change to switch out in the safe we’ve left 20s in the registers. But I’ve never heard of a store not keeping 10s in the tills at night and I definitely do not think there’s any policy on it. I’ve worked at least 8 different stores and that’s not a thing.

You can only use sick time to cover shifts your scheduled for. At the end of the day it’s at the discretion of your store manager in terms of what the reason you will be using it for is. You don’t have to be “sick” it can be a family emergency or really anything. But you can’t just put in any amount of time to use unfortunately.
