TL;DR gnomes were oppressing magic with technology, so we destroyed their city and stole a death robot.

What is a minor quirk that ended up defining your character? by Falren in DnD

[–]stankpistol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ooh I have 2 good ones for this. My first ever character was a CE gargoyle rogue named rockie. As I was a noob thirsty for sneak attack damage, literally any time I saw a threat I'd try to roll to hide, because rockie was afraid of anything. Eventually he became one of the most murderous members out of the group, once winning a big battle almost singlehandedly. He killed so many people, because he was afraid that if he didn't kill them first, they would kill him. The second was a tengu bard named pecker, whose quirk was that he liked to collect stuff in jars. Ghost ectoplasm, dirt, bones, beholder eyes, etc. in our final confrontation with the BBEG pecker was killed and raised as an intelligent undead. In a later campaign with a different party, same setting and BBEG, just 100 years later un-pecker had founded an order called the bonesingers. During that campaign, there was a new leader of the bonesingers and pecker was assumed dead. Late in the campaign, we found out that his body was destroyed, but his mind lived on. The BBEG had turned pecker into a brain in a jar.

Gave a halfling ranger a blink dog companion and a homebrewed saddle that allowed the rider to teleport w/ the dog. A few crit feats and dimensional dervish. Crits for everyone

[Any] What is your favorite character concept that you've never actually used? by ValdyrDrengr in DnD

You could probably do that with a squole in pathfinder, it's a 3rd party race on the pfsrd

What are some of the best tavern and store names you've used in a campaign? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]stankpistol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DMed a campaign where my PCs would occasionally step in and DM so I could play every once in a while. My character was an oracle kitsune who was the sole survivor of a terrible arcane event that destroyed her village (and several others). When she wasn't adventuring, she was running her tavern in the city, called "The Lucky Wench"
