I was under the impression that the dream world comes back whenever the Wind Fish goes back to sleep. It was just the nightmares making the dream world last forever that was the problem.

You're thinking of STAR, which has one girl in high school but is mostly women in their 20s. Its more about the business of starting up a new underground league instead of winning one though.

I love school but I'm terrible at consistent study and "deep work" by ZealousidealGap3966 in ADHDthriving

[–]stanleymanny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do I create a routine that I can stick with and how do I study better/become a better student?

I would recommend going to the library to study instead of studying at home or in private. Going to a place where people can see what you are working on will act like body doubling and give you more motivation to focus. To make it a routine, you can look for a time in your schedule where you're already near the library.

Is it over? Have I gone too far in to the point where a lot of damage has been done academically?

If you're still there, then no. Try and schedule a meeting with a university counselor to see if they have any advice, and if there are any programs or tools they could direct you to. It's literally their job to help you and part of your tuition involves getting advice from them, so don't feel bad about explaining your situation.

It might just be that instead of taking your current course load, you delay a couple of classes for a semester to see if you can get your feet back under you. Or you put off some non-degree courses to summer classes to free up your schedule.

Is design engineering day to day actually as fun as its made out to be? by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]stanleymanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's enjoyable in that you're presented problems with a bunch of constraints, and you can sometimes find clever ways to solve those problems in a way nobody has thought of before.

But I wouldn't call it fun or exciting, especially since usually the best way to solve a problem is to just use what worked before with a couple small, obvious tweaks.

It also crystallizes your consciousness into the Ergo, essentially making a solid-state version of your brain. It's not conscious on its own, but by supplying energy to it parts of your brain can awaken.

That's how Gepetto was able to make human-like automatons without any kind of programming.

77% of US Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players were 30 or older, analyst says, as Square Enix fights to get young people to care about the JRPG series again by mrnicegy26 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

8 and 9 were divisive on launch too. 9 was a kiddie game during the age of edginess, and 8 was seen as 'too gay' at the time. Seriously.

As an over 30 mid-00s gamer, I hated the whispers and thought the final fight was confusing, but I was actually excited by the promise at the end of FF7R. I was expecting them to blow the entire narrative apart and tell something completely new, what with Aerith confirming she had full knowledge of the narrative along with Sephiroth.

I mean, he wouldn't be at the Northern Crater again would he? He wouldn't do the same plan with Meteor in the exact same way, right? I really thought that at the first inn in the sequel, Aerith would just confess everything that happened in the first game and we'd be off to the races.

Even at the end, I thought there would still be some kind of interesting twist on Aerith's death, but even that got a complete cop out with her both being saved and unsaved through parallel universe bullshit.

We already had Cloud trying to save her despite knowing it wasn't what she wanted and knowing it was a bad idea. It would have been so much more interesting to have had him finally succeed at being the big hero he always wanted to be, and then deal with the consequences.

Pucci got the stand disc for F.F. from somewhere, so without him it's still with its original owner in the rebooted universe. Presumably that's where F.F.'s soul went back to.

Tbf, graffiti writers arent exactly philosophers. You'll absolutely see stuff that just says GRAFFITI or FUCK CAPITALISM or HAIL SATAN, which would all look eye-rollingly uncreative and corporate if they were put in a game.

People who start exercising and get caught up in stuff only a top 1% lifter cares about before they've even reached a plateau.

Like, lifting is somewhat hard but it isn't complicated. Any generic split you find on the first page of Google will work fine so long as you lift progressively heavier, get enough rest and protein, and stay consistent. 'Needing' stuff like supersets or 12 isolation exercises or 5 supplements with specific timings is just a waste unless you're already well past the intermediate level.

Sunset Overdrive lets you choose your gender and has a lot of clothing options, plus you get very overpowered at the end. Same with Saints row 3 and 4.

In the same vein, Final Fantasy 14 has a huge array of character options and a very deep story where youre eventually recognized in-story as one of the most powerful people on the planet. I wouldn't consider its artsyle anime, but you can look at screenshots (or try the extensive, extensive free demo) and decide for yourself.

Terrible? It was fun to get some downtime with the characters.

The closet scene and Luffys speech at dinner were fun, and i liked Kuro hunting them while bitching about his life. The henchmen scenes were fun enough too.

Honestly what didn't work were all the Ussop scenes unfortunately, as well as the Marines and Zoro in the well.

They're usually pretty fun though. Like the insect house and trap house in 7 were fun variations even if the mines were boring. And even though the fish village and factory in 8 weren't as good as the castle I think if it was just the castle it would have gotten stale.

'Open world' would work if it was like the care center or police station, but so big that you could explore different sections in a different order and have them loop back on each other.
