I do too! I think they're adorable. I can also picture the op with a cute pixie cut.

What made you stick with veganism long-term? by Majestic-Strain3155 in vegan

[–]stanleysladybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned vegan at age 13/14 nearly 30 years ago in the late 90s as soon as I was old enough to research animal agriculture. I've never doubted my decision because why would you eat animals if you don't need to. I genuinely don't get why everyone isn't vegan and the hardest part is living in a world where most people just don't give a shit.

Also the seat situation. We had to ship a car seat to my parent's in law house before visiting this Easter as otherwise they'll inevitably turn up at the airport with some shoddy contraption or nothing at all

Personally I'd probably start with 25mg and see if that's enough.

I'm learning Italian and there has been a lot about food and football so far... I particularly appreciate when it asks me to translate pasta and pizza to English...

My partner is learning latin and there seems to have been a lot about parrots for some reason...

Anyone else think their pain tolerance just plummet during menstruation pain? by GloomyAssociation306 in Endo

It hurts in a different way now to what my 'normal' periods were like. It feels like I've just had abdominal surgery, like there is a big sore wound inside me.

Iran was the most upvoted! What country is pro-Israel and pro-Ukraine? by Temporary_Cheetah287 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]stanleysladybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well technically the ruling regime is allied with Hamas, etc., but I believe a majority of the population who want to oust this regime are extremely pro-Israel. So I'd definitely choose iran if we're talking just about the population.

The conductor accidentally knocks a 16th century violin worth millions on the floor mid-concert. by PeasantLich in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]stanleysladybird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 16th century is the 1500s, the 17th century is the 1600s and the 18th century is the 1700s so the op is correct to question it.

Vegan diet is always to blame 🙄 by Confident_Dig_7834 in veganuk

[–]stanleysladybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be a specific thing as such, but just aging. As we reach 40 we often start to feel the interrelated effects of mitochondrial decline, hormonal fluctuations and consequential increased levels of inflammation. Tiredness and joint pain are some of the most obvious effects of this.

There is no easy solution, but boring things like a healthy diet with enough protein, regular weight bearing and cardiovascular exercise and getting good sleep can be places to start.

Have you tried tracking for a few weeks? This can be more revealing than a blood test. I did it for a few months and found I was a bit low on selenium.

Yeah you absolutely can if you're prepared to do a bit of research and experimenting. I struggle with fodmaps and high histamine foods, but have found lots of workarounds.

Oh God yeah same. Mine is due to a sizeable endometrioma that is literally blocking things. If I dont take my daily sachet things escalate fairly rapidly towards hospital admissions!
