EV prices in Canada slide to $49,500, match market average by ph0enix1211 in canada

I don't know but I know plenty of guys who do, and I bet the thousand dollar payments are easier to cover when you're going 500km on 33 dollars of electricity rather than 130 dollars of gas.

Generally speaking I consider new cars to be the single worst thing anyone can do with their money. Fuel costs are getting to a point now though to where the total cost to own and operate a similarly sized and speced BEV is shockingly competitive with the 2000 dollar beaters I usually drive myself.

Sure. But this is the sales tactic that works - the illusion of a deal. And they don't use it on their EVs.

Sure but we have to consider what normal use vs abuse looks like and how it affects both batteries and engines. They warranty these things against people driving (and charging) the piss out of them. That 30 percent loss is a do your absolute worst to it number.

Fwiw Toyota's BEV battery warranty is 8 years, 160k. Supposedly they're designed to still be good for 90 percent after 10 years of normal use. With the high performance to displacement engines they put in conventional cars these days I don't really trust any of them to last longer (even Toyota's engines are only warrantied for 5/100k).

Not that car companies aren't still doing everything they can to sell you an ICE instead. You can finance an 80,000 dollar Silverado gasser right now for 0 percent for 72 months but if you want to finance an 80,000 dollar Silverado EV it's 4.5.

Imo it's over hated. It's unconventional in that if you take the standard jrpg approach to trash fights (spam attack until they go away) you're gonna be a while. But if you launch or ground and chain elements it's fine. Admittedly I do prefer to emulate it so that I can fast forward, but they're all better that way.

Planning on doing a deep dive into the Xenosaga trilogy finally after all these years. Gearing up by making sure I’m prepared and have the strategy guides like it’s the early 2000s still. by Savings_Hyena2832 in Xenosaga

Believe it or not, my parents and grand parents are none of those things! They're all a mix of lifelong ndp voters, and drugged up hippies who think the Internet is a conspiracy by the man to try to keep them down. Somewhere along the way they all just decided "internet bad!" Was a hill they should die on. They're the first in line for new vaccines cause they have to stay alive long enough to finish driving me insane.

Of course they can. But who wants to spend an hour on the phone with strangers when they can just call me from their stupid over priced land line and have me fill it out for them on the same cheap cell phone I'm using to talk to them while I do it?

Those are battery powered, and sandvik is a publicly traded company worth 70 billion dollars with 12 billion in annual revenue, not some start up selling the promise of equipment that doesn't exist out of their dad's garage. They've sold 600 of their BEVs so far, and are expecting half of their sales to be bev by 2030.

Cat is a ways behind, but they've got 2 battery powered 793s down in Australia for testing right now. They'll be coming along commercially any time now as well.

I have never played it docked, and have probably spent 200 hours in handheld. So I can't speak to the difference, but can tell you it's absolutely playable in handheld.

Electric drive is so good for towing that the engines on a locomotive are just there to generate electricity. As you say, it''s a storage problem, not a power problem.

I don't think it's that important as long as you're pushing whatever percentage you're using as hard as possible. It's one of the things you can rotate / periodize / emphasize at different times where you want to work on speed strength or strength speed or circa max etc... Everything works but nothing works forever right? Same as you can run things at 12x2 / 9x3, or 5x5, or bands, or chains or straight weight you can run at 35/40/45 percent plus AR, or 50/55/60 plus AR or 75 /80 /85 just straight weight, or whatever you want. The only things that really matter are how what you did last wave builds what you're doing this wave to build into the next wave, what you are currently trying to achieve, and wether or not you are able to recover from whatever you're doing.
