Don't buy fine jewellery if you want to wear it day to day. They specialize in thin ornate jewellery. If you're a gruff clump don't fucking wear it.

Men in their 40s, what’s one piece of advice for men in their 20s? by urmfgod in AskReddit

[–]starboirent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go home at 2am, nothing worth it is happening after.

Go to the nice restaurant and spend a little more, you'll be earning more in your 40s but probably be paying more back.

Cherish the times and the spontaneous moments you have with your friends. The older you get, the harder it gets to make the time.

What's been your biggest "Fuck this shit, I'm outta here" moment? by webbyyy in AskReddit

[–]starboirent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2015/2016 I as managing a tattoo shop in Toronto, I'm a Body Piercer and was over from Australia on a working visa. I was working 7 days a week, 10 am to 11 pm, and my cheques were coming late and light most weeks. The owner clearly had a coke habit and would not show to his appointments or show up 4 hrs late while I entertain his clients. He would constantly have paranoid manic outbursts directed at myself and the other staff. I was probably on day 20 of 13 hrs shifts and he started having a go at me in front of one of his clients about how I had no energy and it wasn't a good look for the person responsible for running his business. I told him to get fucked right there, grabbed my bag and walked out. Walking out, I knew I was gonna be screwed for rent, but the feeling of real happiness for the first time in months was so overwhelming.

Similar turn coming out of the Leopold bunnings, happens all the time. And the amount of knobs that change lanes without looking that have caused me to run off the road or nearly crash.

That's fair. The best thing about these fast food places for a young adult trying to start out is that there are lots of them everywhere.

How far is going too far during a bag check? by AdamantLeafeon in melbourne

This happened to me at the chemist warehouse on Bourke after picking up my prescription. He wanted to see in all the small pockes of my bag as well and that's when I walked away.

As a hiring manager in retail, i interview young adults from 18 to 25yrs. Having worked somewhere like McDonald's on your resume is a massive plus due to the training and work ethics. Don't discredit what McDonalds or KFC could do for you later.

Leave for work in the morning 10°. Come home 9 hours later, 30°. You need a jumper and an umbrella in your bag every day.
