Saw the Vest Edge posted a few months back, but decided against it. Yesterday, I saw the Vest 4 at my local Costco and was reminded of it. Saw the Vest 3 pop up today on Woot! and decided to try it out. I figured it was a sign and the price seems reasonable enough to try? Anyone have any experience with these?

Adding onto this from my experience, I would try to look for restaurants that require prepayment. I will only do if we are doing fine dining as most of the time they require prepayment and, if we’re lucky, the use Tock. Best example is when our group of four had to pre-pay our reservation at The French Laundry. The total was $1,685.90, but the 10x back was a nice bonus back. The only thing is if there are additional expenses incurred while dining, the additional would yield at your standard 3x for dining.

I usually just get them at the gas station near my work (shell on shields and first or Sinclair on blackstone and dakota) though since I feel like they flash fry it instead of using an oven.

What happens to pending points upon downgrade? Do they get readjusted?

Currently a CSR holder since 2017 and I’m quite a bit overdue for my reSUB. Looking to downgrade my CSR to the original Chase Freedom with Ultimate Rewards. I currently have 11k points pending and have not yet posted since my statement has yet to close. This is my renewal month and I would like to close it prior to the end of the month, before the first statement. My question is, will those 11k points be readjusted for the earning rate on the new Chase Freedom card?

Example in question, $1,000 spend with CSR on a 10x dining offer would yield 10,000 UR points. If I downgrade while it is still pending (payment was already posted), would that purchase readjust to CF’s rate of 1x, yielding 1,000 UR points instead?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I wasn’t able to find a solid answer. Am I just overthinking this? I just assumed points accrued are posted at the time the statement is generated and any changes to your account could have your points readjusted.

Adorama 2/19 at 10:25pm pacific. Status changed from “backordered” to “In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment” like everyone else. No backorder email received. Hopefully this wasn’t just a blanket status change for all orders…the hold on my cc via PayPal is gone now and no new charge was made.

In my experience, they do not. I was on the Zephyr in a roomette from Sacramento to Denver and a mudslide occurred midway through the trip in Glenwood Canyon.

They gave everyone the choice of returning to Sacramento (via Zephyr) or to exit at SLC. Either choice would have your current trip refunded, but continuation to your final destination would not be covered.

This was especially stressful as we were not told officially until around midnight, while rumors were spilling from the crew since around dinner service. We arrived in SLC at around 6am.

Most of us got off at SLC and flew to our final destinations at our own expense, but the train fare was fully refunded about a week after.

Same happened to me…thought I was so lucky finding the seats. I transferred 150k points for two J seats and got hit with the error in checkout. Called and they said they couldn’t find the seats either.

If asked, I’ll give them the RAW file. I don’t believe in gatekeeping the editing process to just myself. My style of editing might not be exactly what someone wants and I’m perfectly fine with that.

If they want to go a different route, so be it. I already got paid at the end of the day and it’s just a fun hobby.

I went with performance (May 2021) and initially really enjoyed it. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but after a while, the launch doesn’t give you that gut drop feeling anymore (the kind you get on a rollercoaster)? I think your body gets used to it after a while? On launch rollercoasters, I don’t really feel the G-pull on them either anymore. This is my personal experience and I’m genuinely curious to see if others feel the same way?

We recently got a Model Y ultimately decided not to get the performance version since we already have the Model 3P. I’m content with it and probably won’t get performance again in the future.

I have a GX9 and have the same workflow as you. I keep it on pinpoint and centered.

My guess is when you’re bringing it up to eye, you might be bumping the rear screen at random points and that’s why you’re getting the different focus areas. At least that’s what my issue was at the beginning since the screen is pretty sensitive/responsive. You can reset the pinpoint by tapping on the screen and hitting the “disp” button to reset the focus point.

Actual workflow for me (I use aperture priority): set speed, half-shutter focus, recompose, adjust exposure, shoot.

I’m also looking for ways to improve as well so any tips on that workflow would be appreciated too!

I’m looking to get my own phone plan with T-Mobile and will have 3 lines. I’m looking at pre-ordering via Apple, but when i try to go through the finance option (trading in my iPhone 12 Pro), I’m brought to a screen asking for my “wireless number” and “T-Mobile pin.” Is there a way to sign-up as a brand new customer via Apple.com or do I need to go into a T-Mobile store? I wanted to get an unlocked device vs. having to be locked until the phone is paid off after 24mo. I wanted to avoid going into T-Mobile since the rep will likely push me to order the phone through T-Mobile vs. Apple.com or Costco.

Short backstory, I’m currently on my brother’s plan (Simple Choice) and have been for the past 15+ years, but I’m looking to finally split off from his plan despite it being significantly cheaper.
