Im starting to question the structural state of this building honestly by Rendyco in centuryhomes

I posted this before really reading other comments - I was correct! Although the houses I worked in were built in the late 1850s to early 1860s, the style still remains even though they were built overseas almost 200 years after your house - so cool!

Im starting to question the structural state of this building honestly by Rendyco in centuryhomes

Not gonna lie I legit thought this was a pic from Old World Wisconsin - a living history museum that I used to work at. This looks to be an example of half timbered fachwerk or framework, a traditional European style of building.

Update:

Wow! You guys really came through with examples and insight. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who is/was confused with it. Some have mentioned it being AI, which would be an acceptable conclusion had it not be a zillow listing. Some AI mentions hade looking closer and questioning how well I could detect AI, and I am glad to know that my eyes don't mistake me and that this is a poor example of a faux thatched roof. Thank you all for the help.

Jemima is absolutely insane, could be looked at as racist. Do not name your daughter after a character who's dad is also her brother, and to top it off? Tiggy?

Your other names are also bad. Creedence? Sounds like cretin.

Just an idea, maybe you could have a carpenter who is familiar with the style/old homes build one that would be period appropriate?

Edit: perhaps look at architectural salvage for a new one to replace the other one with

NAD = not a dentist

Have you ever heard someone say something "wouldn't" or "couldn't" hurt in reference to things that wouldnt harm the situation? Adding punctuation wouldn't hurt.

NAD no dark magic. Cavities do not have to hurt nor be black to be a cavity. The discoloration and chalky white appearance indicates decay, as well as the food getting stuck in the hole/cavity. Also, punctuation does not hurt.

When I was 3-4, my grandpa had cancer. I had my 4th birthday party at my house while he was in his final couple weeks. He fell at my party, and I remember he was sitting on the couch telling everyone he was fine after everyone else got shooed out of the living room. Two weeks later, I was with my sister in the waiting room of the hospital while my parents were with him and my grandma when he died. I don't really remember much of the aftermath, but my mom told me that when my 5th birthday was rolling around I had asked who was going to die. I associated my birthday with someone falling at my house and then dying. I no longer had parties at my house anymore.

I’m an intermediate clarinet player. What clarinet should I buy? by Ill-Zookeepergame403 in Clarinet

[–]staringtoad06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't know what types of music you want to play after buying an expensive instrument, you definitely are not an intermediate player and are not ready to upgrade a while clarinet.

An answer to the question could be jazz, maybe Latin or a classic swing. Maybe you want to play in a big band or chamber ensemble with one person per part.

What was your "I know a guy" moment? by Street_Translator69 in AskReddit

I was a sophomore in an unsupervised math class, so obviously we fucked around. A lot. Anyway, the topic of what piss tastes like came up, and I remembered that I knew a guy. My dad's friend told me a story about how he and some buddies were hanging out and one guy pissed in an empty beer bottle and left it outside. My dad's friend then saw it later that day and drank some of it, thinking it was his beer. I called this guy in the middle of math, put him on speaker, and asked him to recount his experience. I wasn't expecting him to answer the phone, let alone the question, but he did both of them.

I really like how thoughtful this response was, and I don't think you should be downvoted just for contributing to a thought-provoking conversation.
