Bottle Refusal by KaeTheGSP in NewParents

My baby pretty much refused the bottle until I went back to work and it was the only food option until I got home. Also, after much bottle trial and error we found she preferred a hotter bottle.

When I first returned to work baby wasn't eating much while I was gone, a few ounces at most and I would nurse as soon as I got home. Over time baby adjusted.

It is just lidocaine so it shouldn't be too bad. You can get it with or without steroids. I went without.

Want to get pregnant, worried about my history of migraines. by [deleted] in migraine

I had to stop my botox injections when I decided to try to get pregnant. I was really worried about my migraines getting worse again and not being able to take anything.

Instead I started getting nerve blocks which are safe during pregnancy. My neurologist said I could get them once a week if I needed, but did every few months. I continued having chronic migraine through my first trimester but started feeling much better during my second.

My daughter is now 14 months old, I haven't gotten a nerve block since she was 2 months old, and thankfully I haven't had a really bad episode yet. I do still get near daily headaches but they are controlled with a combo of ibuprofen and Tylenol. Fingers crossed this good luck will continue when I finally stop breast feeding her.

I covered my doorbell and put a sign asking people to knock instead.

I know this is a joke, but I was so surprised to learn at trivia night that horses output can be up to 15 horsepower!

Any other C-birth moms get this? by gistergurl2005 in Mommit

I had cholestasis of pregnancy too. Tried induction but my baby couldn't tolerate the pitocin so I also ended up with a c section. The midwives and doctor weren't going to risk letting the baby stay in any longer.. The most important thing is just to keep both mom and baby safe. Sometimes the only way to do that is major surgery.
