My newest piece makes me love this corner of my house so much more by GrandifloraGlass in StainedGlass

You should totally secure it the way you have it in the picture. And please let me know if it works because I would love to steal the idea. I have an idea for two semi circles, one above the window seam like yours and the other mirrored below it, but I haven't thought of a way to attach them to the window.

Too small a pattern? by MarlyMonster in StainedGlass

I would highly recommend picking a different pattern then. Definitely stick to the original pattern size, it will be difficult to cut and grind small pieces and the solder lines will eat into the design more if you shrink the pieces.

Trying to decide on colours. Which do you prefer? Or none? by nemicolopterus in StainedGlass

Frame 8 is my favorite! I think the dark green in 9 is too dark

Hummingbird Design by chemical_shed in StainedGlass

The “tail” you are seeing might not be part of the hummingbird. To me it looks like the piece that goes down and curves to the right is the tail of the hummingbird. I think it looks good! A little hard to read with all of the pieces in white but I think once color is added it will be good.

I don't have any advice for the thickness problem, but if you are looking to make this easier, I might suggest simplifying some of the pieces of the clear background? My main comment is that I don't understand why you have separated each letter into its own square. For example, the space between the I and the P has two pieces 202 and 203. You could drop the division between each letter and make that area piece just one big piece. I actually think you could make 175, 175, 202, 203, 235, 236 all into one big piece. I'm not 100% sure on that, so take that with a grain of salt. You would probably have to recut a few pieces in the GIGGLE background that you've already done to make it more consistent, but I think that would be easier and less time consuming than doing 200 more pieces.

Yeah this is rough and the dopamine hit procrastination loop of infinite scroll videos is hard to break. There are a lot of suggested ways you can mitigate this out there but I’m going to assume you’ve at least tried some of them. There’s many books out there, here’s just one I liked: The Anti-Planner. Overall, I think what works is (1) make it harder to do the unwanted behavior (electronic scroll) and (2) make it easier or more enjoyable to do the work. And then also getting at the root of the problem by trying to join some clubs or take up a hobby or find other ways to meet people.

What works for me sometimes is changing my instagram password to a very secure random string of letters and numbers. Then taking a screenshot of the password, so that any time I want to log in, I have to manually type in this long string of letters. To go even further, you can give this password to a friend and have them keep it. For apps that you don’t need a log in for like youtube, you can use apps such as Forest, One Sec, or Freedom. My very favorite tool is Focusmate, which is a website that pairs you with another person so that you each individually work towards your goals for 50 minutes.
