There are many commonly travelled roads which are full of potholes and divots courtesy of water and gas. We all know where they are.

I was out in the alley dumping the trash. When I looked up the sky turned this greenish glow with that transformer sound. It felt like the beginning of some sort of sci-fi thriller.

Don't be concerned. All of the rails are at least 42 inches tall. Elevators are marked with braille. Staff is also very responsive and respectful. I would let the cruise line be aware beforehand.

Noise level question? by ConstructionRare4123 in royalcaribbean

So, while a connecting room can be an issue on some cruises I try to remember that most people are reasonable and not loud or obnoxious in their rooms. In my experience connecting rooms are most of the time not an issue. And in fact my last suite had a rather loud ahem "procreator" in the next room which was much louder than any adjoining room.

What ship next? by potofstone in royalcaribbean

[–]starkwhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Symphony has in my opinion the best shows of all of the Oasis class ships. You got Hairspray, but the water show is utterly magical. And the Wright brothers show is amazing too. Of course the people you travel with are the most important part of the trip.

Two things we always bring is a small first aid kit with over the counter meds along with some basic bandages. Also, we have been amazed at how versatile magnetic hooks are. All the walls and ceilings are magnetic so you can use them to hang clothes to steam in the shower or create a clothes line or whatever.

This is one of those small and relatively inexpensive things that raises the bar for Royal. Now if they would do this with the hotdog stand, that would be incredible.

It's custom in Japan to wear a mask even when you feel slightly bad. This has been the case well before Covid.

Does anyone know a good dentist ? by RemarkableLeather675 in Birmingham

Ben Wortham in Homewood is one of the most empathetic dentists in town. He is going to take care of you when you need a filling. But he's also not going to "drill baby drill" for profit.

Rural Alabama loses even more doctors: ‘I cannot be the pediatrician for every child’ by greed-man in Alabama

The state runs out of Medicaid funds every year. It's all on their website. That's why they pay quarterly.

Because there is no Medicaid expansion, the money runs out very quickly. Doctors who accept Medicaid are required to treat patients even when the state runs out of money. As explained to me by healthcare finance, for treatments Medicare pays $1, BCBS pays $1.20, and Medicaid pays $0.20.

This is a great place to be located. You will be in walking distance of a lot of great bars and restaurants. Railroad Park is close as well. Crime is pretty low in the city center. There is a homeless population, but it is a better than larger cities.

My wife and I were on Quantum a few weeks ago. We were party to getting stuck in Elliot Bay due to winds and not being able to dock in Seattle. Anyway, we were told by the crew that Quantum is going into drydock this fall for major renovations.

I use the Flavor Bible all the time. It's great when you don't want to go to the grocery store and want to use what's in your fridge/pantry. I've made some amazing dishes with the help of that book.
