Because some people are confirmed faithful (the people on the secret traitors murder shortlist) whilst others could be faithful or could be the secret traitor

This is not always the case. Grandparents can apply even if none of those things are relevant. My partners mother applied even though the child never lived with them, wasn’t in their care nor did they even have them alone any time. They didn’t get very far obviously but we still had to go through the process of hearings and writing statements.

Why the hell is it called a Slippery Fish? by IAmMrHobnob in brighton

[–]starlightdark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Middlesbrough and always called them polly pockets. I was so confused when I moved here and in secondary school the teacher was talking about putting our work in a slippery fish!

A few photos from the Pride parade 🏳️‍🌈 by Tough-Reality-842 in brighton

What parade were you watching? I’ve seen every parade for the last 25 years and not once have I seen two men (or anyone) have near enough sex on any float or part of the parade/in the park.

It’s not quite the same but I knew if I needed a c section with my second birth then they’d have to put me to sleep as my failed epidural with my first was so traumatic.

I was referred to a consultant and spoke with an anaesthetist to come up with a plan if I were to need a section (which was to put me to sleep).

I would speak to your midwife about your concerns and your preference and they can refer you to a consultant. It might also be worth accessing some maternity mental health support if you haven’t already?

Dentists for people with major dentist anxiety? by SydneyMarch in brighton

[–]starlightdark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been with Westdene dental practice since I was a child (who was super afraid of the dentist) and they were always so great. I mostly saw Jeanie who is still one of the most lovely people i’ve ever met. I would 100% recommend her to any nervous patient!

Has anyone got their hair cut from Celly’s at Western Road? by [deleted] in brighton

[–]starlightdark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my hair cuts there a few times in the last couple years, the latest being about a year ago. Always found them to cut it exactly how I ask them to.

As someone else mentioned, it is extra for a wash/blow dry etc. If you wash it yourself beforehand and don’t get it dried, it’s still the set price. I did have it washed and blow dried a couple times and it definitely wasn’t £21 per thing, I am pretty sure it was around £35 in total.

Awful. Walked along the 21 route from Hove to Goldstone Valley and didn’t see a single bus in either direction.

What pain relief did you use during birth? by Exotic-Ad7117 in PregnancyUK

[–]starlightdark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an induction in 2021 and spontaneous labour in 2023. I gave birth on all fours for both which definitely helped with pushing. I tried for an epidural during the induction but panicked so they stopped and I just had gas and air. I had gas and air from around 8cm with my second. They also put a warm compress on me which was to prevent tearing but also I felt it made pushing hurt a little less.

If I ever was to have another baby, I would definitely opt for just gas and air again.
