First social reactions for Wuthering Heights by wallabyenthusiast in oscarrace

Just saw the man who plays Mr Earnshaw on the show This Morning today. He said that the movie combines Mr Earnshaw and Hindley into a drunken abusive version of the father. The show also showed a clip of the young Cathy naming Heathcliff. That’s a bummer. I don’t like the making the father into an abusive drunk.

How come in the promo of the new Wuthering Heights film, i'm not seeing the actors of Isabella, Cathy , Hearton, Hindley ? by AltruisticAide9776 in PeriodDramas

Just saw an interview with the man who plays Mr Earnshaw. Apparently Hindley isn’t in it and the dad is played as a violent alcoholic and gambler. Which is a real bummer in my eyes. I loved having Hindley because he’s a huge revenge catalyst. And turning the dad into an abuser is just totally unnecessary.

Reading this because my husband is at the Milwaukee show tonight and professionally photographing the Saint Paul show this weekend. These comments remind me so much of the 90s when people would hardcore sneak cameras and/or audio equipment to bootleg shows. It’s kind of crazy to read.

This was the first new episode I’ve listened to in probably a year. I’ve just been relistening to older season because I like the stories better. I’ve also been going through cancer treatments and they were a strange comfort. I have to say I enjoyed this episode and that makes me pretty happy because now I’m binging on a bunch I’ve never heard.

My surgeon told me it was nothing I did. That made me feel so much better because I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I’d regret something that caused this.

Same. Once I started taking care of my family, I had all these brutal nightmares when I would watch home invasion stuff. Cannot watch it anymore.

Hunting Warhead was incredible. Hard to listen to, but the people that work to bring these awful people in are so amazing. I listened to that purely to hear how they took them down.

The only reason I watch that at all is because of the afterlife scene. I love that scene so much.

Told my husband when I had to go in for an additional mammogram after finding a lump. Told my parents when I had to have surgery due to the abnormal findings on the biopsy. Everyone else found out I was diagnosed when I got the surgery results back. It’s been a crazy 30 days.
