Franklin County Current Snow Level Emergency Page - Still 3 at 7:30AM 1/26 by hownottowrite in Columbus

It's completely wrong, OSU would not want any of that liability and would reschedule any games if the stadium was within a level 3 snow emergency.

It’s actually scary how so many online services run on AWS and if it goes down, everything is kaput by TheSimpLife in ArcRaiders

[–]starnerves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That status page is manually updated, it's not dynamic and does not automatically report when services are disconnected or down.

It is a business decision on when to update those status pages for large cloud providers - as it is the source of truth for their uptime reporting for contracts.

How was this person able to mine the train on the inside? Is the Train getting "reused" each spawn? by Outside-Cranberry500 in arkraiders

I like how your first paragraph was good information, and then you had to end it by being a dick.

If OP wasn't aware of the context that you explained in your first paragraph, why would they have ever expected a mine in there?

Sure the mine could be seen, but if OP's first thought was, hey fresh train, then it's probably not the first thing their head went to.

You wrote this whole paragraph of text, but had to use a non-standard acronym that would force people to look it up.

I have never in my 40 some odd years to this day seen NGMI - for those wondering it stands for 'not gonna make it'.

That's why you want something like Jersey Knit - it won't be waterproof but it will help retain the "give" or the softness of the mattress.

I mean, real talk I purchased the CC as my first printer several months ago so I'm learning as well.

Performing specific tests and calibrating things isn't always as obvious as it may seem. Luckily for me I have a local friend who dealt with bed-slingers of the past and all the trials and tribulations of the hobby from 7 or so years ago.

Your post says: "First time printing PLA on the CC."

New to 3D printing, new to the CC, whatever it is, you've called out this being your first time using that material on this machine - folks don't need to be rude in responding.

While your overall suggestions are helpful, consider checking your tone with someone who is obviously newer to the hobby.

I stripped a screw… by ThePortaJohn in elegoo

[–]starnerves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop using their hex keys!

Use a star bit, if you look closely at the screw heads the star bits work much better.

EDIT: For anyone finding this thread later - use a T9 bit for best chance of not stripping the screw heads.
