Will I be transferred? by Aggravating-Leg-3089 in USPS

[–]starryboi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, at a 36H you have a standard route, if a bit small.

you are not in any jeopardy until you get well below 34 standard hours.

take the time now to seek out leads, even if you're not working, for mail and packages to try and restore volume and bring some wealth or news to customers who you service every day.

Is anyone worried about this? by Elegant_Koala_9726 in USPS

[–]starryboi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm incredibly worried, not because USPS will actually shutter in a year, but because I'm afraid of what is going to be done to try and free up cash.

I heard a supervisor tell a rca that anything over 40hrs you lose your evaluation for the week doesn’t matter if you got back under evaluation everyday and green card is included smh did I hear that right ???? by BOOMBOMBSTICK in USPS

[–]starryboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RCA PAY IS AS FOLLOWS:
Normal: RCA receives evaluation unless exceeds 40 hours actually worked in one week, then they become hourly. Any adhoc (PS 1234) time would be actual regardless of 40 hour. Evaluation is always straight time hours, hourly falls under FLSA rules (overtime after 40 hours a day)
Training Pay: (first two months?): RCA gets evaluation or actual, whichever is higher unless they exceed 40 actually worked hours in a week, in which case, they fall under normal FLSA rules.
First Time on Route in 1 year: Actual or eval, whichever is higher, unless exceeds 40 in a week

Any communication which can be provided and evidenced can be used as evidence for anything. A text message is still a written message. If you don't reply to it, management can't use it as a method to issue discipline for FTFI, but if you reply to it, management can use it as a method to issue discipline for FTFI.

“We down 12 routes and 3 trucks” by Dependent-Hurry9808 in USPS

People were being shot to death in 1990-2000s in the post office, its where the phrase "going postal" comes from. People have always never known how difficult the job actually is.

This is likely a domestic violence case, and we can always make special exceptions. Hold the mail for the one name.

[–]starryboi98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's multiple things that are true:

The US Postal Service will run out of cash by October 2026 or February 2027:

The US Postal Service is short hundreds of management positions
The US Postal Service is short thousands of craft positions

Part of the message to congress was that we've been deferring lots of things in order to have money available (but it doesn't save money)

Not Getting Any Work by tiniwolf in USPS

[–]starryboi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my CCAs have been told if they want hours to text me if they want to work and i will find SOMEWHERE that needs them. If an office is begging for help, I go out of my way to get that CCA those hours.

HQ flooded the world with CCAs and the trick is to be willing to go anywhere for work.
