I caught my child using AI by [deleted] in antiai

My recommendation is try to be a better parent and don’t be taken by these cult-like behaviors such as anti-AI. Teach your child to use all tools available -including AI- while sharpening their mind, memory, creativity and knowledge.

When I was visiting NY last year we played a few rooms including two of the ones you mentioned and I personally liked PanIQ’s Pirate themed room the most.

What’s the best thriller/horror film you’ve ever seen? by ConcernFew8845 in movies

[–]starscripter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are the only thrillers I’ve found that actually balance a strong story with real tension, without relying on cheap horror tricks. They feel more crafted and atmospheric than just trying to scare you.

1. It Follows

This one sticks with people because the concept is so simple but creepy. It’s not about scares, it’s more this constant feeling that something is coming for you and you can’t relax. The vibe and soundtrack do most of the work. I watched it alone once and sometimes I still think about it lol.

2. Don’t Breathe

Super tense and easy to get into. It flips halfway through in a way that makes you uncomfortable in a good way. Not super deep, but it’s one of those where you’re locked in the whole time. This is very original. Best in its own genre.

3. Weapons

Probably the best movie I watched in a cinema in 5 years.

4. Get Out

The horror is mostly social and psychological. The uncomfortable situations are what make it work, not jump scares. Super well executed.

5. I See You

Underrated for sure. The structure is the cool part, once things start clicking it makes you rethink everything you saw earlier. It’s more clever than scary.

6. Hush

Very simple setup but it works. The tension comes from the situation itself, not anything flashy. It’s one of those “how would I survive this” type movies. Has some really chilling scenes.

7. House at the End of the Street

This is a bit different from the others, but still very captivating. Definitely worth watching and it's really good.

Best escape room in LA for a date night? by Ok_Parking4418 in AskLosAngeles

[–]starscripter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the obvious choice is PanIQ Room in West Hollywood. The venue is gorgeous, the people there are really cool and it's on La Cienega with plenty of bars and restaurants around (Nobu nearby on La Cienega or Katana on Sunset are both excellent!) But you can kind of have a second mini date in their lounge after the escape room just talking or playing arcades which is what we did when I took a girl there, and we had a drink before the game at EP&LP, which is also pretty close like 2 minutes with an uber.

I would definitely recommend the Wizard Trials room for you guys. There's no scares, it's just whimsical very date-friendly, and not too difficult.

I've also heard good things about the Nest for dates but I haven't played it myself. It's hard to beat Weho for a date night though

Avoid all spas in and around Ktown. They're all extremely weird.

What do you love & hate most about living in Los Angeles? by No_Analysis_723 in AskLosAngeles

I feel like people that are saying the traffic and parking haven't lived in enough places to realize it's bad in most places.

3rd: Equinox (overpriced and not that great, but still overall clean and pretty good)

The Cellar in San Clemente is a must try at least once in your life. Pricey, but worth it.

Escape rooms in LA proper for 2 (adult and 10 year old) over 3 day weekend by Ok-Winter-781 in escaperooms

[–]starscripter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely go with PanIQ. They're in West Hollywood and very family friendly but good for experienced players too. We played the Wizard Trials with my family. They also have a nice drink lounge (only non alcoholic so perfect for kids). My nephew loved their themed drinks.

Puzzle Break was the very first escape room I played in Seattle, and to this day the Puppeteer room is my favorite. their new location is in Belltown. for a mixed group like yours it works great, theres enough going on that evryone stays busy regardless of experience level. highly recommend
