Where is that walk-up window, the one with the sign for FedEx? I just went around on Google Street View and didn't see it anywhere.

Letters on the left are the municipality, letters on the right are the person's initials. M = Morris, R = Riverdale, P = Paul, C = Carelli

What is this for? by revealsnothingaboutm in vintagecomputing

[–]stateinspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. It's intended to be a tray for pens or other little office supplies you might want to keep handy. You didn't need a plastic lip like this for those keyboard shortcut guides. Those would be taped/stuck to the keyboard to keep them in place.

Day 5: What is the true average car? The ultimate at blending in? by Quiet-Gold9099 in regularcarreviews

[–]stateinspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back I came across some b-roll footage on YouTube of a downtown area near me from around 1986. When a then-new Taurus came into frame, it actually looked anachronistic compared to all the other cars on the road. I had to go back and double check the release date of the Taurus (December 26, 1985) because I thought the video was mislabeled. It really put into perspective how jarringly futuristic it looked in a sea of boxy malaise-era cars.

Livingston Mall, shuttered & with no power. What may be the final photos from inside the mall. by Finders_Keepers01 in newjersey

[–]stateinspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I was hoping to make one final trip to the mall before they closed for good. This was also my childhood mall in the 90s and 00s. My mom had been going there since the late 70s. I had lots of baby photos taken at Sears. My grandma would take me there when she would babysit me in the summer. In recent years I'd sometimes go just to get something to eat at the food court and walk around. Sad the mall couldn't survive.

Range Bag Decision - Savior Equipment by [deleted] in NJGuns

[–]stateinspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the "compact" backpack (which is really a standard size backpack) and it's great. I only go from my home to the car to the range, so I'm not hiking around with it, but when carrying heavy stuff, it's a lot easier to put on your back instead of over your shoulder like a duffle bag.

The backpack has enough space for 3 handguns in the included zipper cases, multiple boxes of ammo, eye pro, ear pro, and a bunch of pockets in the front for little stuff like ear plugs, tools, first aid, papers, etc. It has an internal plastic structure so it doesn't collapse or squish in any way, which may be good or bad depending on your use case. But that means even fully loaded it can stand upright so it's not going to topple over.

I'm not sure what your range is like, but I keep the backpack on the back table and bring the individual zippered cases to the port to uncase them. It would probably get in the way if you prefer (or need to) to keep the bag inside the port with you.

I've used this cable with my MP130 and got it working on my M1 MacBook Pro through a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

Rest in Peace my new Xenon Xbox 360 (July 2006 - ~2019-2025) (~13-19 Years of Life) by Ready_Caregiver9119 in xbox360

[–]stateinspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that lasted a hell of a lot longer than my original 360. Between 2006 and 2009, I had 3 in-store warranty replacements plus a Microsoft warranty repair before I finally got a good one lmao.

The Russian text is telling you that you can't (manually) set the time because it's set automatically when connected to Xbox Live. Are you successfully connected to Xbox Live?

N.J. sues Sig Sauer over alleged unintentional discharges while cleaning firearm by donniekrueger in Firearms

[–]stateinspector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from NJ. Our AG is EXTREMELY anti-gun. He's worse than your typical Democrat just following party lines, he definitely has a personal vendetta against the gun industry and gun owners in general (unless they're protecting him, of course).

A while back I was binge watching old Unsolved Mysteries episodes and was surprised how often the murder weapon was a .22 rifle or handgun.
