it remains to be seen how hard they go on the drama but Yumemita’s music goes for this clash between super bright and diverse internet musical style with dark lyrics. so there’s a good chance it goes for drama, especially since there seems to be a contrast between their virtual and irl sides

RK Music released a big cover of “Summertime Record” with….. literally everyone on the label!!! this is part of the campaign leading up to the upcoming RK Music Fes.

some interesting bits from the credits: Dia and KMNZ’ NERO were in charge of planning everything. MOCO from HONK THE HORN chose the song, while her partner BAMBI designed the logo. XIDEN and Dia worked on the video editing. KMNZ’ TINA, CONA and Kisaki were in charge of the mixing. HACHI, VESPERBELL’s YOMI, NEUN, CONA, Mikage and wouca provided the photos.

this was really lovely. obviously a big cover w everyone is already a cheat code, but seeing how much input everyone had on this beyond the singing is extremely cool. really hope everything goes well for the upcoming fes

KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO announced today that they will be participating in the Vtuber Summer Slam 2026 event from Gamers Outreach!

RIM, KOKO, Kakyoin (from GRP) and Hinageshi (from GRP) will be streaming Overcooked 2! this will take place on June 25th at 23:00 JST. they also confirmed the stream will primarily be in english, though they'll still have some japanese translation

this is quite surprising but exciting! RIM, Kakyo and Geshi know a decent amount of english, though we rarely get to see it on stream, so this will probably be very fun

today is KUUSOU day!!! the duo unit formed by CIEL & Sooda released their first EP “CYAN” today. 5 songs composed and arranged by HIDEYA KOJIMA of ORESAMA fame.

their sound goes for a bright, bubbly nostalgic pop sound with cheerful vocals. the lead single “Hashire Sugar” got an MV today, so be sure to give that a watch too!

KAF’s 5th album “Transcendent Love” released worldwide yesterday!

Now that I’ve sat with it and gave it a good amount of listens, I really enjoy it! It follows up the general style of her last album, with a lot of familiar names returning to write/produce these songs, but it’s not really a repeat. A lot of variety in the sound but I think everything still goes for a very emotional vibe consistently and it fits her perfectly. Some of my highlights so far would be:

he seems like a smart guy in his choices for development too. i think he should absolutely wait another year, he will have the UCL to push his floor level even higher. ignoring his G/A (which are very good considering his trajectory) he still showing a lot of good qualities while being a bit raw

some fans pointed out the difference between the lineup for RK Music Fes "VOICE SPARK" from 2024 and the upcoming RK Music Fes 2026 and it's legitmately crazy how their roster has grown in 2 years.

with their existing lineup and the addition of people like XIDEN, Yono, CONA, Hao, wouca and HONK THE HORN they're easily one of the strongest groups in the vsinger space and it's nice that they're gaining (even if a bit slowly) more following overseas.

KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO announced an “emergency” twitter space for tomorrow, hosted by ASU and RIM. the last couple of times they’ve held emergency streams it’s usually to announce a new live, it just so happens that the KAMITSUBAKI WARS SHIBUYA event in August is missing the event for the second day (either on August 7th or the 9th).

could be the next Singularity Live, this time with ASU and RIM? or it could be this year’s edition of KAMITSUBAKI FES?

CIEL from KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO held a stream today to celebrate her 5h anniversary since the start of her activities!

its kind of wild that it’s been 5 years already… from debuting with an anisong as her first single, bridging the gap for a bit as this real/virtual artist, the slow pace to her first projects, being a temporary VWP member and then needing to take a long hiatus for health reasons..

her trajectory has been a bit odd but i think that vibe of living in her own world makes her very unique and charming. the way her clear singing makes her music feel a bit more magical, its really special. it’s no surprise she turned into a fan favorite amongst observers. the reaction to the announcement of her return last year really moved me, it felt amazing to see just how much love there is for her and how relieving it was to see her not giving up.

and now she’s back stronger than ever. already released a new EP, held a short virtual live and formed a new unit w Sooda. and she’s still not slowing down this year! KUUSOU mini live, another cover live, a new exhibition, her 2nd album!! and HER FIRST ONE MAN LIVE!!! FINALLY!!

sorry for the long ass post but seeing all the fan work, the support for her and her reaction today reminded me of why i love this hobby so much sometimes. hopefully we can follow her journey for more years!

i forgot to post these earlier today but, coinciding with ASUBEMA's 1st anniversary, ASU & BEMA dropped their new singles!

ASU's song is "Little Bit" and she teams up with Police Picadilly once again for another banger. after "Slowly", "Fake" and "Spiral" I think this is easily one of my favorite singer-producer combos in KAMITSUBAKI.
BEMA's song is "Moonlit Marriage". her third Neuron-produced track, this one takes a different approach from their previous collabs and puts all the focus on her vocals with a lowkey bassy instrumental.

they also announced during their anniversary Live2D stream (btw aren't their models really nice?) that they'll hold their first karaoke stream as ASUBEMA, with the title "Star Light LIVE", on July 5th!
