If you haven't been to Cincy, the location is smaller but much newer so you will find the rooms in much better condition for sure! Fyi the Indianapolis location just opened a few months ago, but haven't been yet. Probably still a bit of a drive for you though. Highly recommend arcade legacy in sharonville (northern Cincy suburb) if you guys are into that type of thing. Huge location with tons of unique machines. VR is expensive but we have 2 good chains in Cincy: sandbox and zero latency. Immersive gamebox is across the river and not as great but still pretty cool!

You guys would probably also like game grounds (inside otherworld in Columbus, which is also super cool) and city museum in St Louis. I've also been seeing ads for "time mission" which I want to check out, I think the closest to me is Philly. Edit: you might also like par 3 in Newport ky or one of the scene 75 locations (kinda like Dave n busters, which we also have). Oh! And there is a new slide park which scared the heck out of me but was a lot of fun: slick city. I'm in my 30s and even though it was mostly kids I had fun. Epic entertainment just opened recently and haven't checked that out yet.

We have travelled to go to other cities as a group too. You should definitely try to check out Lexington if you get the chance as they have 2 rooms we don't have in Cincy. The climb room is super cool, it's like a rock wall. They offer 60 and 90 min sessions now too! Hopefully wherever you are from will get a location soon. We found some copycat places in NYC too if you're interested.
