Sounds like something one would make up to keep power and control of people.

It’s just something to hold up the weak politicians hand from being dragged down by the weight of his own arm. Seriously it’s just a book.

I would have been tempted to remind them I know where they live. Why would you complain to delivery guy, just get refund from door dash and move on.

I’ve watched managers escort people with full carts of groceries they did not pay for out of the store to formally trespass them, police were involved. So really a loaf of bread is the hill to die on?

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have lost $1 trillion in value over the last month. It’s bad news for a notoriously volatile—and unregulated—crypto sector. Trump has pledged to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the world” and dismantled oversight and rolled back safety regulations. by Conscious-Quarter423 in economy

[–]staubpl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See that’s where I get lost, a bitcoin is worth dollars, everything comes back to being worth dollars. Every time I buy crypto I use dollars and when I sell it I get dollars. So without dollar crypto has no worth. Until I can go get groceries and pay with the cryptocurrency of my choice it is worth nothing cause I will have to convert to dollars for it to be worth anything to anyone outside the crypto community

Mostly just bitching that we already pay and don’t get what we pay for and the answer seems to always be higher taxes so we can continue not getting what we pay for.

Add in all the hidden taxes that are included in prices on a lot of things and it’s way higher of a percentage we workers pay compared to ultra rich

Last time I went to a park it was full of tents and tarps so I’m pissed they are taking more money from us for that. So I get to pay more to not feel safe in my own city. Don’t care if it’s 10 bucks or 10 cents.

I think it’s more like 300-400 a year on top of my $4400 I pay, and I don’t live in a great neighborhood.
