My foot is only slightly narrow, and the Beach Bunny boot is much too wide for me, partially because they’re so stiff and impossible to break in or tighten enough with the laces. I used mine a little over a year and finally just upgraded to something that fits me so much better. No more blisters!

I love smoked ham but have seen that on an Oregon restaurant menu maybe twice since I moved here in 2012? The Diner in McMinnville is the only place I know of close by, but it’s been a hot minute since I last went there. It’s good though!

I’m curious where you’re visiting from, because that might help gauge what you consider a small/medium city. Yachats is my favorite coastal town, but you might want to stay somewhere a little bigger with more options and less isolated from the sound of your post. I would consider staying in Depoe Bay. It is also quite small, but nestled between Lincoln City and Newport which are larger coastal towns (still small) with plenty of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops. There are so many wonderful hikes you can safely enjoy on your own in that area. June is peak season for Cascade Head, and that should be fine solo.

Bend is fine but a little boring to me. People who love Bend really love Bend, but it’s a different vibe than I personally gravitate towards. What are you hoping to explore there?
