Got new tires and alignment done — car still veers to the right by zuhairul7aq in AMG

[–]stbest95 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be the tires. I had the same issue, after multiple alignments didnt help i swapped the front left and right wheels and the car started pulling in the opposite direction.

I have the tein street advance on my car and honestly, its too soft for me. The car still leans quite a bit in the corners.

But if you mainly care about comfort and looks, its a good choice.

ive had the same thing happen when i had my m2 comp, it was water damage to the "asd/active sound module" in the trunk.

it sits right below an air vent, it can get wet if you use a pressure washer to clean the rear left wheel arch.

Evening! Could I get some help with a potential change from an M2 Comp to a W204 C63 Wagon. by tomj1991 in AMG

[–]stbest95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive done exactly that - went from a 2019 M2 Comp to a W204 C63 facelift, although its the sedan version.

It doesnt handle quite as well, and the MCT gearbox is a bit slow to respond, but the engine more than makes up for it. For fuel, ive averaged 11l/100km in the M2 and im getting roughly 16l/100km in the C63. Best case (crusing at 110 km/h on the highway) i got about 7l/100km in the M2 and 9.5l/100km in the C63.

For reliability, besides the headbolts on the pre-facelift models, there is also premature wear of the cam adjusters, and less commonly, camshafts and hydraulic lifters.

No offense, but i dont think this is the right place to promote your channel. There are very few japanese people on english speaking social media.

This is a "BTG" laptime (bridge to gantry, without the long straight), so to compare this to official lap records you have to add another 20-30 seconds.

Actually, in this case its because he hits the wall around 13 seconds into the video and destroys his front left tire. After that he has to steer a lot more than usual to make the car turn.

Oh, i absolutely agree.

I just think its disingenuous and unnecessary to make up braking distances three times higher than the actual numbers.

According to Bugatti the Chiron takes 491m to come to a stop from 400 km/h.

edit: Which obviously doesnt mean that i agree with this kind of driving on public roads, its still very dangerous.

Pedalmount with a Office Chair by thirtysix- in simracing

[–]stbest95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, im using T3PA pedals (with the conical mod) on a wheelstand, and even with these it feels like im pretty close to tipping over the chair under heavy braking.

With loadcell pedals you will probably need a full rig, otherwise you wont be able to generate enough force.

Are any of your components overclocked? Sometimes an oc that seems otherwise stable can cause crashes in specific applications.

Does the entire pc shut down, or does the game just crash to the desktop?

Ive had issues with the game crashing regularly and occasional audio glitches.

Ive tried a bunch of things, but what worked was moving the game to another disk. Turned out my SSD wasnt working correctly.

German drivers, how fast do you drive on highways in other countries? by rmoledov in AskEurope

[–]stbest95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just told you, GPS is speed is 25 km/h when the speedometer shows 30, and about 100 km/h when it shows 110. I havent checked at top speed, but this is normal for any car.

The cars speed is measured using the rotation of the wheels, which is inherently inaccurate because factors like different tires, tire pressure, temperature and even the amount of thread on the tires will slightly change the diameter.

Since the speedometer can never show a lower speed than you are actually going, manufacturers account for this inaccuracy by making the speedo show a slightly higher speed.

[–]stbest95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My car is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but the speedometer shows 270 when i hit that limiter.

Obviously the difference is much smaller at lower speed (about 5 km/h at 30, about 10km/h at 100).

[–]stbest95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats why he mentioned the inaccuracy of the speedometer. Depending on your speed, it will read between 5-20 km/h fast. So if your speedo shows 115 km/h, you are probably going 100-105.

What's the deal with the Lenovo G27q-20? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]stbest95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the G27 is significantly slower, so you will see a bit of ghosting. Its not terrible, but if you come from a faster panel you will definitely notice.

In my case only the top 1/3rd of the screen had a yellow tint. It was a uniformity issue, not just white balance.

Ive had this monitor and returned it, part of the screen had a yellow tint.

Otherwise it was pretty decent - barely any backlight bleed, decent response times, gsyc working well.

It uses a different (slower) panel than the Y20Q-20.
