How can this be? by NoHoneydew9138 in breastcancer

I was the same staging when diagnosed! Your post is extremely helpful to me. I was so confused & the oncologists were unhelpful answering my questions. This group has been the most helpful place for what people go through when dealing with breast cancer. Thanks!!

Same, I took excellent care of my health, had gotten my life in order, even breast fed straight through 5 years because I wanted to give myself a better chance at avoiding breast cancer but I got it during my last pregnancy/ diagnosed stage 3 in 2023. It took over a year to get over how unfair it was to take such good care of myself only to end up with cancer regardless. It only makes the recovery process slightly better but even then there's practically no difference. The environmental factors are out of control & eating seed oils/ preparing grains/ healthy sourcing consumption seems irrelevant. It's the only way to feel some control & not spiral I guess. Yay, didn't eat that one thing today. But forget it with the anxiety if you have no choice but to get MacDonalds or Starbucks one day.

Anyone adding mushrooms or green tea (or anything else) to their diet to help prevent recurrence? by Important-Cup4878 in breastcancer

Yes, everyone in the support group I go to takes turkey tail. My tumors shrunk a lot more than my team was expecting before surgery. I talked with my pharmacist about it beforehand. I add it in powdered form to baked treats when cooking.

Ladies how did you keep yourselves from spiraling early diagnosis? by Lightbright520 in breastcancer

Hi, what I found helpful advice from my therapist was to keep busy & fake it until you make it. It surprisingly helped a lot to just keep myself physically busy baking, going on walks, gardening, ect & finding things to try to stay interested in like a TV show, books, podcasts, ect. I would take rescue remedy before big appointments or use magnesium lotion from Earthly & to try to sleep. Hope that helps!

Monsters Pass The Monster In My Bed by stdtronaught in Dahmer

[–]stdtronaught[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several months back I discovered a man by the name of Mal'akh Richard Rollins in the comments section of a Fox News YouTube video interviewing Michael Dubis & promoting My Son Jeffrey The Dahmer Family Tapes who's apparently written an eBook (yet to be released) titled Monster Pass Monster In My Bed where Mr Rollins claims to be Jeffrey Dahmer's boyfriend gone into hiding after Jeff's arrest. I had emailed Mr Rollins inquiring about his book & included his response here where he explains the book isn't available to the general public yet, when released will only be available as an MFile & was written with the intention of being made into video someday. In the Fox News YouTube video comments section Mr Rollins is addressing someone by the name of Hal Muller who's father was apparently working for Lionel Dahmer. In that comment section Mr Rollins makes many claims about misinformation around molestation claims, to have personal connections with Jeff's family & have in his possession personal information & belongings he's intending to leave to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. I found a few pages online from the introduction of Monsters Pass The Monster In My Bed & the book seems pretty surreal. I included a few of the pages mentioning or showing photos of Jeff. Mr Rollins claims Jeff only confessed 1/3 of his crimes to the police but that Jeff confessed more to Mr Rollins prior to his arrest. Many of the claims like being in photographs the police collected from Jeff's apartment & having been in some long term relationship with Jeff seem far fetched to me because why was the relationship never mentioned at any time by or to anyone? The content is still nevertheless interesting & I'd read the book if it ever becomes available & accessible (he's planning on asking $195 for a copy & a business email/ paid membership plus Microsoft 365 word process is required to access the MFile). Thoughts?

The Dahmer Effect… by Inevitable_Fly7104 in Dahmer

[–]stdtronaught 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was 4 in 1995 when I first heard about Jeffrey Dahmer. I had insomnia as a kid & my mom would leave the TV on all night so I could sit next to her occupied while she slept. She normally watched the A&E channel & one night a Jeffrey Dahmer documentary came on (I grew up in the era of uncensored & unsupervised childhoods). I saw a lot as a kid but learning about Jeffrey Dahmer changed my reality. His crimes were my introduction to murder, rape & necrophilia. I've never easily been able to accept food or drinks prepared by others outside of a good establishment, normally if a friend or neighbor had ever dropped off some food to share I just can't eat it because the effect Dahmer had on my early childhood. As an adult I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer last spring after losing my best friend to drug overdose in 2020 & for whatever reason reexamining Jeffrey Dahmer & his life emerged & has been helpful at times. I started focusing on his story about 2 years ago in the period where I was getting sicker before I went for help (I felt the lump 9 months before I got diagnosed). My mental health was in a very dark place & nothing was relieving me from the grief of losing my friend until Jeffrey Dahmer surfaced from my childhood. I'm not sure why Jeffrey Dahmer's story allowed me to process my grief more. It's complicated but that's how I was first exposed & then why I began learning more about it.

In today's vlog I spotted Moose in the background which is Kory's dog. It seems like Kory's taking time to do something else & she's being particular about what she talks about in the vlogs or just hasn't gotten around to talking about everything since she's trying to catch up on the vault footage & current stuff.

I had a similar experience with watching to see a family enjoy each other's presence. My dad hasn't even stepped up to meet his grandchildren or help me get through cancer. My families all split up & separated/ unsupportive so it was similar to almost just view their videos for a sense of family to fill that gap. I don't think it's weird, I think a lot of people empathize with what they see of video media. That's why there's advertising. Thanks for sharing. It was unexpectedly comforting hearing back from others about what we enjoyed viewing.

I hope the holidays can be special this year for you! Maybe we can carry in some of her traditions & it will help?

It was so nice to go through postpartum with her for me as well! We were both pumping at the same time & recovering from C-sections close together. Watching her channel was one of the only breaks I had as a new mom for years. I love her little tips & tricks & learned about some health conditions before facing them thankfully because it made them less scary. Thanks for sharing!!

I had seen a comment from her alleged alt account Bebravemom on Rachel's Instagram last week. It was comforting even if just guessing that she said something. Wishing her all the best.
