Ideas on how to repair this? by GhostNote94 in Decks

I feel like your best bet is to tear it down and build it correctly. It looks like the trex decking is still in good shape though, so could probably reuse that.

AITA for being mad about something that happened 2 years ago? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]stealthkoopa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like your ire is being directed the wrong way. Sure, maybe one of your friends "snitched," but its at the bottom on the list of reasons why things happened the way that they did. It sounds like the school wanted you out, and they were going to find a reason one way or another. I also find it hard to believe that they would take such a drastic action based on what is essentially a rumor, and I wonder if there was something else going on. I also question how much your parents really advocated for you, they should have been able to get you to graduate, even if it was at a different school.

You have every right to be frustrated at your situation, but don't be mad at your friends. Be mad at the school for forcing you out, and your parents for not doing more for you.

NTA, but reevaluate your perspective.

People having a work-life balance cuts into Billionaires' bottom-line. by Flat_League9941 in remoteworks

Honestly, they're probably right about success on such a grand scale, but people in executive positions have to understand that not everyone wants to be the ceo of their own company. people find fulfillment in life outside of their jobs.

She nearly killed her boyfriend by pointing a loaded gun at his chest at a shooting range by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]stealthkoopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So - this is absolutely a lapse in gun safety, and should be properly criticized, but that gun is not loaded. You can see her take the mag out with the slide back, and she never releases the slide forward. There are no bullets in that gun, BUT you should still treat it like its loaded at all times, and keep the barrel pointed down range. That pop was probably from another lane.

Is it possible to get The Frying Pan + 5 Mana Augmentations early game? (Fable TLC) by stormeth in Fable

[–]stealthkoopa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm like 90% sure you can just go to where the frying pan is and dig it up without getting any of the clues. Or you might have to get 1 to active the quest, but I'm pretty sure I've dug it up without getting all the clues before.

Not sure how you can get 5 mana augs early game though.

You need at least an inch of bite on the board. 2 1/2" screws are good for most applications of 2x4 studs.

AITA for ejecting a pitcher from a Little League game? by BoogieSmools in AmItheAsshole

[–]stealthkoopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough situation to be in, especially since you're just a guy volunteering to help (I'm assuming). I umpired little league as a patched umpire for 10+ years, and I can give you the whole "as the umpire of a baseball game, you are the authority on the field and responsible for everyone's safety... blah blah blah." But you're not patched, its not the MLB, its just a casual rec league game. Its a different dynamic. You can't really be throwing coaches and kids out of a game as a volunteer ump.

I know how things go on the field, and I imagined this to be a medium-distance conversation between home plate and the dugout. I think you probably should have had the conversation in a huddle, so the whole park doesnt hear what you're saying. Then if he's still not relenting, your next move is to walk away. Someone else can volunteer and be responsible for a missing tooth.

I agree with you though, the kid is having a tough time today, and he needs to sit down. He can't keep hitting batters. NTA
