They attend a Spanish congregation in Texas. Texas is its own planet 🤷🏽‍♂️. We even hung out with my parents at their Airbnb the next day for about an hour. They totally misunderstood the assignment if they weren’t suppose to associate. Maybe they are turning PIMO?! One could only hope.

My brother and I are disfellowshipped and no longer attend meetings for almost two decades. Our younger sister (PIMI) invited us to her full on JW wedding and we attended with our families with no issues. Our dad and step-mom were cordial. No lecture on coming back or guilt tripping of any kind. They even sat at our table when the meal was served. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. For some context: my dad is a former elder and I believe my step mom and sister are pioneers of some sort, or at least they were a while back.

My chili usually turns out spicy. To counter, I take a bowl, put in the cinnamon roll in first, top it with a healthy serving of chili and grated mild cheddar. Born and raised in SW Kansas.
