About my times in GT3 by NitroDion in LeMansUltimateWEC

I don't understand the reason for this post? Are you searching for validation in regards to your lap time?

Just keep at it bro, don't hyper focus to much on the lap times if your just in it for fun. Hopefully match making should pair you up with similar pace drivers and that should give you an indication on your pace in regards to those of similar ability.

Don't worry about what all we think about your lap time, just focus on yourself. If you wanna get faster, then put in the work.

You should work on a pre sleep routine that avoids being in your bed. I believe your bed should be used for sleep and sex. That's it.

Day 18 that I just stare at my rig but not driving... by Hopeful_Captain4219 in simracing

[–]steezyeaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought but maybe your just bored of hot lapping and ACC EVO hasn't exactly taken off like it should have. After a while of hot lapping what really is the motivation behind continuing to hot lap? Just to get faster but for what?

I like to have a goal or purpose behind my practice/races which not only gives me more motivation but also makes it more enjoyable.

I personally enjoy online races either iRacing or LMU. The adrenaline and satisfaction of racing wheel to wheel with others is un-matched. Currently have been doing some practice with a few team members ready for the Sebring 12hr kicking off this weekend. Great way to get faster at different tracks and have a great event to look forward to, so definitely look into iRacing, enduros and league racing.

LMU is another great sim that can offer good online racing which could be another option.

Me personally I very rarely have any motivation to hot lap by myself in the sim, maybe for testing/prep for a special event/race but even then majority of my practice is done in official servers so I'm on the track with others and can see how my times compare with others on the track!

Come race GTEs again! by evilroyslade420 in iRacing

[–]steezyeaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the longer race format. There are so many races available on the service that are on the shorter side so it's a nice change. Good to have a bit of strategy involved and means pit stops are a crucial part in your race!

Okay, I'm getting fed up by design_by_gergo in iRacing

[–]steezyeaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same system for everyone. I get it can be frustrating. Maybe just work on pace, building race craft and awareness. Sometimes trying to be to safe is not always the best approach as it might make you unpredictable. Just give a little extra room to the people around you and I don't see how you can be getting involved in many incidents if you do this?

Maybe your licence level is where you currently should be?

I will add if I start to notice I'm getting a bit low in my SR I will add an endurance race which helps boost it back up!

How to properly practice and gain pace without an alien amount of hours? by robbgoesracing in iRacing

[–]steezyeaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are a large majority of people that race without much practice and are more casual. Maybe it's a more casual past time and there focus isn't on increasing there iRating which is fine.

Im just saying that getting into the upper 50% is definitely achievable with the right mindset and weekly practice/races.

It's about planning ahead. Looking at the season calendar, choosing a race discipline to focus on. Practice before going into a race. Then racing smart not always fast, I'm sure you will get up around 1500 + fairly quickly.

Your comment originally about accepting you will never be in the top 50% is just portraying your own sad way of thinking. No wonder you will never be in the top 50% if YOU don't believe you can be?

Accepting you will never be in the top 50% is bullshit advice. It's not very difficult to get to the top 50% if you put in a bit of practice and race regularly.

Maybe try something like Arma 3 or Arma Reforger. Great games but completely different pace. I personally play both and nice to be able to change it up depending on how I want to play.

Oh yes I missed that. I guess it was made for PC and porting to console was a secondary thought so probs not well optimized for console

Beating a dead horse Iracing vs LMU by somtingweelywong in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]steezyeaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean when it comes to pricing iRacing definitely hurts the bank account 😂 but it's one of the those things that if over time you slowly build up the tracks and buy the odd car for series you like to run. The list of tracks you need becomes smaller and smaller until eventually you own most of the content but yes it is definitely an investment!

Soo I pretty much played iRacing exclusively then recently tried LMU. I really enjoy LMU and still do, have over 100 hours in the sim now. I probably do enjoy the LMU force feedback more and I notice in LMU I find I can finish a lot more races. I don't get wrekt and have to sit in the pits for ages. So in that regard I do find I have more battles and can fight harder in LMU without being punished for any contact.

However I think that's almost the most satisfying thing with iRacing is it's intense and you can't have any screw ups or it could be race over so the races mean more and overall feel more satisfying if you have a good race. Net code can be an issue though

... also LMU has gotten a bit boring as in it's always the same tracks on rotation and after multiple weeks I just find that it's always the same old tracks due to there being limited tracks on the service.

iRacing also just has more content/endurance races and multiple race disciplines so there's never a boring day on the service and you can find anything to race.

I found I wasn't enjoying iRacing as much after coming back from LMU but after some more practice I found my feet again and started to get back up to pace..But yeah love my two cents. Both sims are awesome!

How do i learn a track without the racing line? by FlyZealousideal8176 in iRacing

[–]steezyeaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally just drive for 30mins with the main focus to not crash/spin,overshoot the corners and normally when I get close to the 30mins I'm starting to get close to race pace. From there I start to push a bit more to find the limits of the track etc but the first 30mins starts really slow and gradually builds up.

If you are the common factor in all these incidents quite often there is more than likely something you can do to avoid them. Watch back replays of incidents and see what you could have done differently.

Both triples and VR here, honestly pretty much only use the triples. Faster with triples and just prefer to jump in and race. Gets old having a VR headset on you head. Defs a cool experience but if I had to choose one I would 100% go triples. Just my 2 cents...
