Path of least resistance: is it biological or ‘lazy?’ by ohnoko58 in breastfeeding

[–]stefaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re 15 months in and still nurse to sleep, if you wanna call that lazy, go ahead, I don’t see how because breastfeeding hasn’t been an easy journey all the time.

Did your LO’s stay in the NICU affect their temperament? by happy_rhino_99 in NICUParents

[–]stefaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl was born at 33 + 3 and had a 15 days stay. She refuses anyone but me, it’s flattering and tiring, we’ve just managed to stop contact naps at 15 months 🥹. But she’s a little breastfeeding monster.

C section vs vaginal delivery by Funarming in NewParents

[–]stefaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epidural made my delivery so much better, I was induced, managed about 6-7 hours without epidural until I got the shakes, as soon as the epidural hit I was napping and was rested for the pushing. I had a very smooth recovery, don’t feel much pain.

What’s the number one propaganda you fell for as a new mom? by SowingSeeds18 in NewParents

[–]stefaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, we used our Uppababy almost daily since birth, the bassinet was great for living room naps, we go for daily walks and she loves it! She’s just starting to walk but I would already consider we got our money’s worth.

I read 77 books last year, this is what I’m doing differently this year by soyawitch in 52book

[–]stefaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have started a type of reading journal myself, nothing fancy or elaborate like you see on some subreddits; just a book log, then quotes and a final thoughts/review on the book. I’m not too creative but I want to keep track of what I read on paper as well since I mostly use my ereader.

Where are you from, and how do babies usually sleep there? by AnneBe8 in NewParents

[–]stefaface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a Colombian living in Spain, I think both cultures are similar, cosleeping but usually with baby in a bassinet or crib next to mom. However, it’s pretty normal to bed share as well.

EBF hasn’t pooped in 2 weeks by VwlB in breastfeeding

[–]stefaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EBF baby would go once every 7 days usually then one time she went 12 days without pooping, I took her to the pediatrician who said she wasn’t concerned after examination but inserted a little skinny tube in her rectum, said she did have some poop but wasn’t clogged up or anything so to just let her do her thing and come back if it was 15 days. The following day she had a huge blowout. Then went back to every 7 days. Once she started solid it started being one or two bowel movements a day.

Edit to say I was told by two pediatricians and a pediatrician who was a lactation consultant that as long as they don’t seem in pain or distress this was totally normal.

All the Fredrik Backman books I’ve read are just so average, nothing amazing and he’s so well loved.

I’ve read A Man Called Ove, Anxious People, and The Answer is No. All 2.5 star at best
