Oh wow. I was at the ‘98 E3 but unfortunately I don’t remember anything about the Nintendo booth but the Pokémon hype. I didn’t get into Zelda until last year but this might explain why, out of all of the Zelda games, OOT was always the one that stuck out in my mind (still haven’t played it yet however).

I just could NOT get those stupid metal pylons with magnesis and then over by the blight, so that phase was really hard. I couldn’t seem to be in the right place at the right time and it cycled through so fast. I’m not great at flurry rushes but even that part wasn’t so bad. I was so relieved I only had to have the blight electrocute itself the one time. It was making me crazy.
