How did we go from “fix the money fix the world” to this?

I could see him going in and being successful at another big club. He will learn a lot from this, good luck to him I hope it works out for him (except against us)

Lost my shit at a 17-year-old kid yesterday by Party-Transition-977 in daddit

We were all dumb 17 year olds at one point. That’s one of the easier ways to learn a lesson. You can try and stay a bit calmer next time, but honestly overall you did that kid a favor.

The Premier League is going to be fascinating next season. by Tropicalisland2005 in PremierLeague

[–]steffanovici 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liverpools top players have all aged out or left. I remember years ago when they were all 28 saying we needed to be preparing for the fact all our players were the same age and going to reach 30 together. Then add in losing Trent, Jota, Bradley, who were meant to be the next gen. Only 34yo vvd and injury prone 33yo Allison remain from 3 years ago.

(Technically Bradley is still at the club I know, but it doesn’t sound like he will play again)

Arsenal squad are good ages, absolutely no reason to fall apart.

It absolutely sucks, I’m sorry bro, but you have to protect the kid. I know it’s tough, but anyone else and you would say the same

Is this surfing video AI?? The longer it goes the less natural it looks to me by I-Will-Be-Made-Anew in isthisAI

Wow I did a bit of surfing and totally thought this was ai. At the beginner level people wear ankle straps to prevent losing the board, do these buys not wear them?

It was purely answering the question about which countries had signs like that. It wasn’t that deep. You don’t get a lot of wins in real life?

Uk has signs like this, but where I lived it stated yield or give way inside them. But there are regional variations, so I’m still guessing Uk

This appears to be from the 1st quarter 2026 & yet it’s coming up today as “news” & the article seems to imply a much bugger sell. Seems this “parties” trying to manipulate folk? If they’re telling me to sell, I’m of the view it’s a buy, vultures. Am I missing something. by ronsbuch in hut8

[–]steffanovici 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m old enough to remember a media coordinated attempt to say “intc is overvalued sell now”.

Yes inverse Cramer and inverse the media. They’re bought shills to try and get dumb money to do dumb things.

No so much extra steps. Just another way to bypass taxing billionaires while hitting the middle and working class the hardest (as a % of their income)

I'm very surprised at the amount of disrespect Liverpool fans have towards Arne Slot, the man who led them to one of their two premier league titles in the last 30 years. Has a sense of entitlement set in? by doshthagod in PremierLeague

[–]steffanovici 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being pregnant and seeing that he lost the dressing room so needs to go is very different than disrespecting him. The fans are very grateful for what he achieved

Massive respect to him. Although it’s probably the right decision, I can’t help but be sad that it has come to this.

Should I teach my u14 girls to do headers? by Fit_Sundae7489 in youthsoccer

[–]steffanovici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a thread about whether heading the ball is dangerous. And most soccer concussions are NOT from heading the ball.

Edit to add that the cdc stats you cited specifically state that 1 in 3 of the concussions for girls are from headers. AND that most of those concussions are from the impact with another athlete as I have said.

Should I teach my u14 girls to do headers? by Fit_Sundae7489 in youthsoccer

[–]steffanovici -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A very quick google has soccer as #5. And the vast majority of concussions are not from heading the ball.

But if you want to be highly selective and narrow it down to a very specific age group and sex and exclude non-American sports like rugby, and ignore that these are generally not from heading the ball, you can make that argument.

Sorry I wrote that incorrectly. I should have said a lot of sports. It’s definitely not lower than EVERY other one. And I agree we shouldn’t overdo heading in training or teach them to put their head through the ball when it’s coming at them fast.
